I think Avril Lavigne was most popular before I was born (I was born in 2004) but I loved her music from when I was like 5 until I was 10. I actually heard about YUNGBLUD for the first time when I was listening to Avril Lavigne on Spotify again and Spotify recommended YUNGBLUD. Since then I was wishing them to sing together and it happened. I can't be happier 😁

I liked YUNGBLUD's take on it and then at 2:20 Avril started the yeah sequence and reminded me that no, there is only Avril.

She hit those high notes at the end like it was nothing. They were free and resonant. Even her face was relaxed as she was singing them. Her tongue stayed nice and relaxed too which is usually the first thing to fly to the roof of the mouth when someone is straining. This is in the original key too. Super impressive. I honestly think she sounds better now than she used to. She's gotten more depth in her voice now than she used to have.
That's just pure talent. No autotune needed. She was flawless. And I agree she's getting better and stronger with age. So much control.
I gotta say I'm shocked! Honestly had no idea she could reach those notes. I thought her range was a little lower. I've always loved Avril but she just keeps surprising me

avril nailed and carried this performance. yungblud has some interesting studio stuff, when sound engineers tweak and add interesting effects over his performance, but his live vocals are below average singer - to sum up , no they harmony isnt amazing, avril did amazing job here and this performace would be even better if yungblud wasn't here

What they meant is that, as a recording/touring artist, it takes a toll on your vocal cords. You get old, and so does your tool as a singer, so obviously your voice is bound to change. She's got very great technique and control now, she sounds truely great.

This was honestly the highlight of the show for me. Dom and Avril were so in sync with each other and their voices sounded HEAVENLY together. Those bits at the end with them harmonizing were out of this world

I was just thinking this, it’s been years since I’ve listen to Avril Lavigne, and then my friend reminded me the other day and I’ve been obsessing over her let go album for the first time in years, now that I’m in adult and I know about music, this woman has like five different levels of range and can sing pretty much any genre which is fucking impressive and I really don’t remember anybody giving her any credit on that level of “one of the greats”

Since her debut in music several other women have had a voice in rock, including she is still a reference for many young singers today. I love this performance, possibly the best I have heard Avril live, no auto tune, looking amazing and smashing the vocals. The slight crack in her voice in the bridge was beautiful and raw and REAL. She has always had beautiful tone but not always great control. But as a true artist Avril has worked hard. What a stunning performance and Yungblud was amazing and he gave Avril tons of space.
I agree, this was her song and Yungblud was just super happy to be there and he was really thoughtful about when to join in and lift her up, he was likely a huge fan like the rest of us. I think this is just perfect

I vividly remember my older brother having a naked picture of her saved on his computer back when I was in middle school... it was a major "Yep, I'm totally into girls too" moment! 😅 It was on one of those ugly 50lb grayish white desktop computers that ran windows 98 and used those free dial up AOL discs you got in the mail! 😅 I was super into her when I was a teenager, but now everytime I see her, my mind just flashes back to that images of her!

You can clearly see how much both enjoyed singing this song and even after what feels like a lifetime I can sing every word and note with them.
