  • In this video, I share some of my earliest and more restrictive journal covers and ideas on how to move toward a fun, flexible, more limitless cover. Journal signatures are easy - covers take a bit of thought. I hope you enjoy! Comment below if you have a request for the next video and don’t forget to share and click subscribe. ❤️
    If you are interested in purchasing antique or vintage paper, beautiful regular to large size antique ledgers, buttons, or other fun items, send me an email at AndreaGaslanRN@gmail.com.
    In this video I have mentioned a number of products and people. I would like to give them credit here and share product links:
    Sheila Gingerich can easily be found where Facebook Bohodaydreams lives. She has a RUclips channel bohoDaydreamsSheila.
    Barbara Easter creates some of the most beautiful projects I’ve seen and she is on Facebook and in Sheila’s group.
    Karen Anderson has a Facebook profile Vintage Elegance Inspiration and that is also her RUclips channel name
    Lokta paper can most easily be found Etsy. Look for Himalayan Handmade Lokta. It is very inexpensive.

    Your Journals are so beautiful. Especially the Lilac cover one. I am crazy about chunky paged Journals. They just ooze with adventure as you page through. I fill my Journals to the brim, as you say, you just keep adding. There is always that big old ribbon that helps tie everything shut. 💚💙💜💜🧡📚

    I am absolutely new to this craft but have been drawn to some of the shorts on RUclips. So I landed on your channel and all of this is above my head. I've been doing crafts my whole life. You name it I've done it or am still doing it. The 1st art was sewing because of my Mom. She made us 4 girls most of our clothes. So I've always Loved fabric and lace and buttons. Vintage things and I am so in love with French script and that era. So where and how do I start? I'm not expecting an answer but maybe if I check all your past videos, there's some guidelines for me. Anyway I enjoyed watching this so much and I wanted to touch and feel your journals because they're so lovely.

    One question...do you glue or sew the lace on your page edges? I usually add it last after the signatures are sewn in, so I have to glue the lace down. Also, do you add all your embellishments before you sew in the signatures or after? Trying to figure out the easiest way....

    • @JunkJournalTreasuresByAndrea
      @JunkJournalTreasuresByAndrea  11 месяцев назад +1

      All of the above truthfully. I tend to like Fabritac over stitching fiber lace but chunkier lace I stitch. Sometimes I get impatient or overwhelmed when I’m making a detailed journal so I stop and sew the signatures in so that I stop mixing the pages around and trying to add more. Other times I just work page at a time and then see how they sit together. All in all, I’m a glue girl who likes stitching when it is going to be accents. ❤️❤️
