OMG. I definitely will be looking for pt 2 of your junk journal. I am such a shabby chic admirer. Your choice on the fabric for the cover is so perfect. I recently started assembling one but need to get some twine for the sheets of paper. Haven’t been able to go out. Staying safe from all this we are going thru. Can’t wait for your next tutorial. Most importantly, stay safe as well.
Wow I had been watching so many videos about covering a journal …but yours wow your video answer me all my questions…your cover looks gorgeous it’s amazing ..all the information that I need and been looking it’s here with your video thank you so so much for sharing..🙏👌👌👌👌💗💗💞💗💞💗🌸💗💞💗💞💗💞👌💞🙋🏻♀️🌻
LOVE that fabric, I can't wait to see this one come together. G45 is an all-time favourite of mine ... I've been hoarding some of this one too, maybe you'll inspire me to finally use it! TFS. Leanne.
Do you ever add white gesso to the insides and then cover with fabric? That would hide the dark packaging and add less bulk to the inside. I love that cover fabric!
You and I have a similar aesthetic. I got some textured fabric I am using in my journal covers. I went looking for more to try the technique on other fabrics. I have inktense blocks & GAC 900 & color the fabric. Very fun to do. That "bedspread" look I am painting the raised part. Anyway. I want that Ladies pack! Will be hunting it down on Amazon ❤🤗🙏
@@debbieharper4771 no I haven’t had any response..except from you.. I’ve looked everywhere that I can think of. Hi dear, thank you for your funny comment. It did make me smile. I didn’t realize how popular this video would be. I kinda lost mojo when starting this journal and I haven’t picked it back up. I see the interest in this and will definitely finish it up. Thanks for the interest in seeing my work, I truly appreciate it. Xoxo ~Jenifer
@@ATraceofSparkle Just an idea. If you've truly lost interest in finishing this journal, maybe use the cover as a giveaway? As you can see by the comments, there are many of us who absolutely love it and would probably really enjoy completing it. :) It would be a shame to let such a beautiful cover go unfinished.
Love your journal. Want to share a technique with you. When layering fabric, I like to use quilters basting spray. If I don't have any on hand, I use hairspray (much cheaper, doesn't cause breathing problems, and easier to clean up the overspray). Just spray one fabric, layer on the other and briefly iron to dry.
I make mine because I l8ve the process so many things to do in 1 project. And when my journal is done i Will use it like a memorybook, i have pics of my kids and I write what we do and so on. Or im scrapbooking in it and write about my thoughts or how im feeling. There is so many things u can do. I dont like mine to bee stuffed with ephmera, like some do. But i l8ve to se their style too. I have little less with stuff, like "the Queen of junk journals" johanna glouch ( spelling?) On RUclips. Thats moore my style 😊🙏🧡
@@barbroheller2193 use hair spray in place of basting spray. Lay your backing fabric down wrong side up, spray lightly with hair spray (I use Aqua Net hair spray), then lay batting on top. Spray batting again, layer other fabric right side up on top of batting.
I really like your methods. Thank you for a very well explained video. I will be back to see you.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you! xoxo ~Jenifer
So beautiful honey and you were just getting started🥰😍💖

Why wouldn't you make your decisions off camera. You waste so much time when you could be teaching something
what we don't get to see the rest of the journey so disappointed.
