      We had a Sony TV (From 2005 which had pretty nice quality) and a PS2 (which had some fun games like prince of Persia) In 2015 since our family weren’t that rich at all. My Childhood TV shows were pretty much all the 2010s tv shows. The channel that i used to watch these cartoons on was Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. My most favorite show was DEFINITELY Tom and Jerry. and since we had only 1 TV, I had to watch dramas and comedy dramas with my parents basically every night. Some of them were intense and others were funny. I liked them. But in July 2017 we moved to The US. Which meant that we couldn’t take our Big box tv and the PS2 with us. So Now, We have a Smart TV and a Ps4 and they didn’t have Cartoon network or Nickelodeon or the drama shows on them, so I couldn’t watch any of those shows i mentioned. So, now you know about the life of a young kid born in a (kinda) poor family. Idk why i just told you my entire childhood story (i guess i got out of context). Also, i’m 12 years old.
      Good Day to you.

    Howdy Doody Time??
    It is Sunday, November 13th, 1955 7:01 AM. Last night's time
    travel experiment was apparently a complete success. Lightning struck
    the clock tower at precisely 10:04 pm sending the necessary 1.21
    gigowatts into the time vehicle, which vanished in a brilliant flash of
    light leaving a pair of fire trails behind. I therefore assumed that
    Marty and the time vehicle were transported forward through time into
    the year 1985. After that...after that...I can't recall what happened.
    I don't even remember how I got home! Perhaps the jigowatt discharge
    coupled with the temporal displacement field generated by the time
    vehicle caused a disruption of my own brain waves resulting in a
    condition of temporary amnesia. Indeed I now recall the moments after
    the time vehicle disappeared ... into the future ... I saw a vision of
    Marty saying, "I've come back from the future." Marty gets out of his
    chair, with Doc facing his back to him, and starts walking towards Doc.
    Undoubtedly this was some sort of -

    It's interesting how they had a few older kids in the Peanut Gallery at the beginning... It makes me wonder if they had been among the kids who were in the original radio shows, older siblings of the younger kids, or just there to help out in case things got a little rowdy.... That blonde girl up front is a trooper! I would love it if people could come forward and help identify some of these kids!

      +++++++++++
      The War of the Worlds was performed and broadcast live at 8 pm ET on October 30, 1938 over the CBS RADIO Network.
      ++++++++++++++
      NBC and CBS began commercial TV operations in 1941, followed by ABC in 1948. In 1950, only 9% of American households had the wonder of TV.

      Yes, your absolutely right. In 1947 Howdy looked totally different. He got a make over sometime in 1948. This is probably from 1948 after his makeover. They have the original lined back drop. So it’s before 1949 when they started the big black circled back drop . The circles were probably different colours , but in black and white television they appeared black. Really a stupid choice unless it was filmed in colour .

    It’s sad that there was not ONE black child in that audience. Racial discrimination at its finest.

      God! Will you give it a rest? I'm so sick of hearing about racial discrimination. Read a book by Dr. Thomas Sowell.

    Actally, there was only one show of Howdy Doody in 1947-so this show must have been from early 1949-considering that Mr.Smith hadn't been named Buffalo Bob yet.
