Ich weiß nicht, ich bin Franke, mag *kein* Bier, bin *kein* Fußball-Fan, wußte nicht, das eine Woscht im Weggla ned goud is, und trotzdem: voll der Selbstschäm- und Fremdschäm-Effekt. (Das mit Nbg vs Fürth und Franken vs Bayern und Weggla/Runde/Semmeln/Brödla weiß ich, aber ich nehm’s nicht allzu ernst ;-)

So many memories. I stood at that sign for Furth over 40 years ago. I was stationed at Johnson Barracks 76-79. Such a great time.

OK....I typed it in German, BUT it is Nürnberg...NOT Nuremberg!! I was stationed there for four years and every time I see it spelled 'Nuremberg' it gets on my nerves, lol! I know it sounds trivial, BUT it's Nürnberg!! Nuremberg is just an Americanized version. I sure miss it SO much there. It is where I met my late wife and the city that had some of the best times of my life. My wife and I even got married there. It will always be in my heart as my second home.

This video inspired me to shoot my "10 things not to do in Philadelphia" video.
Hopefully, I'll be able to get out of the hospital next summer to upload it.
I gasped and laughed at many of these. As a German-American, and having a mom who was born and raised in the Nürnberg area, most of our time is spent in Franken near Nürnberg. And though I've been all over Germany, Nürnberg is by far my favorite city. It just feels like home. :)
So when I saw you order a semmel with only ONE Wurst, I gasped. Not so much because you ate only 1 Wurst... but more because Nürnberger Brats are so good, how can you stand to only eat one?! lol.
When I showed my mom the video she was suprised you didn't get arrested while wearing an FC Bayern shirt and raising the Bavarian flag at the castle.
Long story short, a VERY good video. One of my favorites so far. And I love all the great shots of Nürnberg and the surrounding area that you're filming with your drone. they're awesome. :) Can't wait for the next video.
Beautiful city. I was stationed at Herzobase ( now an Adidas factory) and would visit Nuremberg/ Furth every chance I had!!

Furth is a nice town... I was stationed there in '72-'73 and I would go back there again. I really can't say much for Nurnberg, it's just a big town with not much to do.

Thanks for bringing the sweet memories back , I used to live at Hines strasse and worked at merrell Barracks as civilian contractor. Used to hang around at McDonald's outside the plarrer U Bhan station, walk to brightegasse strasse and shop at C&A store. Enjoyed fight between church people and Har e Rama group outside the Laurence kirch , miss those days . Great video presentation and god bless.🙂❤

Für mich ist es die amerikanisierte Version dieser schönen Stadt. Ich weiß, es klingt trivial, aber es geht mir immer auf die Nerven, sogar als Amerikaner!

I was in as soon as I saw the brochen mit bratwurst. I was stationed at Merrel Barracks and worked on helicopters at Feucht Army Airfield. Ahhhh the memories.
I really regret why I was so stupid in many years ago, that I leave German Literature faculty, because my fault I missed a chance go to Great Country in Europe and learn about their culture, that was one of my biggest mistake in my life

Ha ha ..wonderful video...My dad was stationed not far from Nuremberg...Crailsheim(have you ever been??) used to be a Barracks there called McKee Barracks..we lived on the post for a year , then moved to a small house in Jagstheim. My mother (she's was part German , she and my dad wanted us to know the real German people..I miss Germany a lot..I am very proud of my German ancestors (once I figure out who they were lol) And I was born in Augsburg.

Das ist der Tunnel oben bei der Burg hinten raus. Also noch recht weit weg von Fürth.
