Im not sure if I'm more amazed by the tech or your people skills. I usually hate to listen to people talk on youtube but you have a very calm and friendly persona that keeps me interested, good for you! As far as the bag, I needa pick that up when I go to college this fall :)
I normally don't carry around a lot of tech but if I'm traveling somewhere like a friend's house or going to a family thing I carry my Surface Pro 3, iPhone 5s, a 6ft braided lightning cable, some other charging stuff, a wireless Logitech mouse, my small tripod, and my DSLR with an ordinary 18-55 lens.
What I carry in my backpack changes every few months. Right now I am carrying a Galaxy Tab S 10.5, Tab Pro 8.4, Nexus 7, iPad 2 (just sold my iPad Air 2 and about to get an iPad Mini 3), Nokia Lumia 1520, Moto X 2014, iPhone 6 Plus and Kindle Touch.
The one piece of tech that goes with me everywhere is my 13" Macbook Pro. It is so nice for typing papers at school or editing photo/video projects on the go.
Agree with the guy who mentioned the standard Apple earbud earphones -- they beat large bulky $150+ dollars Beats crap, etc. and they are portable and surprisingly comfortable which is good when you are lugging around laptops, iPads, files, etc through airport to airport. Plus while I do enjoy the convenience of bluetooth, there is only so much I want to charge especially when traveling IMO.
My two daily drivers are the 6+ and Moto X 2014 too. To me those are the best phones to carry and I use a 5200 mAh battery from Anker. I also use the old iPad 4, which still works great for me.
Once again, a great video. I saw your “Top 5" video series. And they got me thinking. I was in doubt, but you just sold me the Case Logic Backpack and the retractable lighting to USB cable. I used your link. Hope that helps you. Take care Jonathan, keep them coming.
The tech i carry around is a iPhone 5c,portable charger, pure gear lightning cable, micro usb cable, apple power brick, rockcandy switching adapter, apple ear-pods,and auvio pearl-buds with mic. That's all the tech I carry daily with me.
My two favorite pieces of tech that are usually with me; my Nexus 4 smart phone, and my PSP 1000 (the old fashion fat one, feels nice and solid in the hand)!
I don't like to carry around with a lot of things and as a college student i carry two different setups depending on which classes i take that day. I always carry my 128GB iPhone 6 Plus, 250GB USB 3 External SSD for Important data, 3x 8GB USB Sticks, Mid 2012 13'' Macbook Pro i5, 8gb, 1TB and when i have to take programming classes i bring a 17'' HP Envy i7, 16gb, 2x 256gb SSD's in Raid 0.
Hi Jonathan, do you need battery to listen to music on the Marley headphones via cable and mic (non-Bluetooth option)? I want to check that out just in case the battery is low because of Bluetooth usage and I can just put in the cable. Thanks!
I carry my 70D with 17-40mm L lens on it and my iPad 4th gen (which I'm likely going to replace with an Air 2 at some point, for storage more than anything else). I sometimes have an external 1TB hard drive too if I need to move files to/from work that are too big to do over Dropbox.
I have the leather Brixton from Ona Bags, which I always carry - in it I always have my 13 inch retina MacBook Pro, my Fuji X100S, and a hard drive, as well as various books and accessories and extra camera batteries and things.
mine: - macbook air 11'' - ueboom speakers - beats pro ( i don't recommend for travel ) - anker 20,000mah battery pack - sony nex 3n camera - ipad pro (for drawing, sketching) with an apple pencil.
+Pryonto Sarker i replaced my beats pro with an audio technica m50x. i don't recommend uebooms any more, battery drains really fast. im planning to get a JBL Charge.
My bag always has my 13inch macbook air, to me it's waaaay better to travel with than a pro although it has a lot less power... the heavy tasks have to be done in my home office on my desktop which is a lot more comfortable than sitting with the macbook on your lap, other than that I also carry a bunch of cables, headphones, and a thrashy powerbank
With the bag you have easily fitting in a 15 inch MacBook Pro surely portability isn't an issue. So why the 13 inch? I'm trying to decide between the 2 and was thinking that surely if my bag fits a 15 inch one then it make it portable?
I'm not too much of a fan of that anker 5-port charger. Although the 5 IQ ports are pretty awesome, it does have that cable which just adds more to carry around (I always have a habit of forgetting to pack cables especially when leaving hotels). I use the ORICO DCX-4U. It's got 2 rapid ports and 2 regular 1A ports. The 2 rapid ports are similar to anker's iq ports. My biggest plus on the orico is that it has the wall outlet attached to the unit.
Jon I've been looking for tech bag for days and out of all the tech bag videos I've seen your tech bag is the best and the better looking😅(others bags look like turtle shells🐢)
I have the exact same things as you in terms of Apple stuff; 13" but its the 2015 model with force click in the highest config (i7, 3.1ghz, 16gb ram), I have my 64 gig iPad air 2 but instead of iPhone 6+ i have the iPhone 6. they are always with me except the mac which is not always with me but it is when I travel. You are the best youtuber!
I must ask, why do you need to have an ipad as well as two phones with you, any activities you can do on that you can either do on the macbook or a phone?
I always carry my phone, iPhone 5 but really soon to be Nexus 6, my macbook pro 13" with retina, 6400mAh external battery but I'll be upgrading that soon, some kind of USB stick and either my beats or just apple earpods. ik beats aren't the best but I don't have any other over the ear at the moment, I plan on buying different ones soon but I don't want to spend the money on a good set right now.
Hey! Some love for the Marley XLBT! It is really cool, although I'm partial to the autonomy of the Apple/Beats....so I do like the ok audio of Beats headphones.
Virtual high five atchyo faaaace! Awesomeness on the case logic backpack ... I think the only thing you would be missing is a sexy 13" MacBook Pro Retina Bamboo Blackbox Case with built in Ball Protection for all that 4k editing on the go! It's the peanut butter and jelly of my tech-bag lunchbox :)
I don't travel to much, but usually I carry my iPad 2, iPhone 5 (soon it will be a Galaxy Note 4), Beats Earbuds, 6000mah external battery, 8GB USB and a lightning cable. I just have to have bluetooth headphones, I'd really like to get loose of the cables!
I ended up getting the level 8 back pack instead of that caselogic one. I think it looks nicer. I'm also not a fan of bluetooth because of the compression of the audio quality, it sounds terrible to me. I can't wait til AirPlay becomes more common on devices and price comes down.
GoPro Hero 4, Nexus 5, Sony Vaio Tap, Case Logic backpack, ! tb external harddrive, some kind of bluetooth headset, Logitech g602 mouse, pens, mini usb, micro usb, usb-usb, headphone jack, music angel speaker, pc charger... And btw, on your GoPro, for possibly getting better video, try taking it in Narrow mode (video settings) it looks better in my opinion.. Keep up with the good videos Jon, and are you gonna make a version 2?
Great Tech Bag tour, Jonathan. Looking forward to seeing your coverage videos at CES 2015. As travelling isn't what I usually do very often but if I'm on the go, I usually take my Windows 8 laptop, my iPhone 4s and my secondary budget android phone.
So I tried to install fast apps and couldn't for some reason. But for what it's worth, I think that the MacBook Pro is a no brainier here. You have improved set of specs on a machine that already exceeded the air in the performance dept., coupled with the fact that the retina vs non retina argument is not even an argument, so...I'd definitely go with the Pro. Not to mention the form factor makes it a little more compact (although a slight bit heavier but not that much noticeably heavier I don't think) So yeah MacBook Pro baby (in my Dicky V voice) Would love those headphones bro.
The og Microsoft surface rt, og lg g watch, and og moto x 2013, along with the iPod touch 5th gen black (not space grey bought in 2012) and ifrogz 3000 mah backup battery for moto x. Headphones are the apple earpods, great simple ear buds for just under $30 but would like Bluetooth headphones
Hello, love this video! I was searching for backpacks for a while now and this is what I was looking for, thanks for that. One question though, is it rainproof backpack?? I like to walk a lot (caring my laptop), so I need the one who does not enters the water. Is there something like that, stylish & rainproof & not been huge???
Got same case for iphone 6, but how can I tell if the case was Genuine or cheap duplicate ? Though it seems solid enough but no logo or stamp inside the case.... so should the genuine have a logo or not necesarly ? cheers
The content is great man! The giveaways are ridiculous too I could never see myself with this gear but thanks to you I have a chance! Keep up the work👍
Awesome bro! Looking forward for some great videos by you from #CES. Really interested to see how you rate this camera. I watched the Cookie video by you and Dom, looked pretty good.
I always carry around my RMBP 15' top model, iPad 2, iPhone 5S, Samsung M3 1TB, a EasyAcc 12000mAh External battery pack and last but not least my audio technica ath-m50 :)
I like to bring my MacBook Pro 15" with me as well as my Bluetooth headphones (Sony Extra Bass Bluetooth Headphones). Great video! I'll admit when you said, "To get things wrapped up here..." I thought, 'awwwww.."
I always knew you were the GoPro-in-pants kind of guy.
You know me too well Quinn ;)
***** do u carry this tech bag where ever u go or only on trips ?
+MATT KALISKY "on the daily"
Im not sure if I'm more amazed by the tech or your people skills. I usually hate to listen to people talk on youtube but you have a very calm and friendly persona that keeps me interested, good for you! As far as the bag, I needa pick that up when I go to college this fall :)
Well damn thanks dude!
I would have to agree... Simple editing is awesome too
I normally don't carry around a lot of tech but if I'm traveling somewhere like a friend's house or going to a family thing I carry my Surface Pro 3, iPhone 5s, a 6ft braided lightning cable, some other charging stuff, a wireless Logitech mouse, my small tripod, and my DSLR with an ordinary 18-55 lens.
Great tech ! Your production quality has definitely improved over time. Love it. Keep it up, man, and have an awesome and safe trip there ;)
Appreciate that! Thx :)
***** :)
Imagine: His bag get's stolen...
:(
***** Throw one of those GPS tag thingies in there. I think I need to invest in some of those too lol.
Imagine: he just falls to the floor...
Noooo!
RakanWD There's a Macbook in there, It would cost way more than 2000 Bucks.
House of Marley really pushed out all their gear right in time for CES! I loved my first pair that were made of wood!
What I carry in my backpack changes every few months. Right now I am carrying a Galaxy Tab S 10.5, Tab Pro 8.4, Nexus 7, iPad 2 (just sold my iPad Air 2 and about to get an iPad Mini 3), Nokia Lumia 1520, Moto X 2014, iPhone 6 Plus and Kindle Touch.
right now im carrying text books for school. lol
Wtf lol
Why so many tablets? ._.
I'm a geek!
Please send me your schedule, I would like to "see" your backpack. It seems nice. Haha. Jokin' bro. Nice gadgets though. :)
How do you get to go to CES? I'm going to try to go next year.
Have to pay for a ticket if you're not in the industry.
Do bigger RUclipsrs like ***** not have to buy a ticket or do all youtubers have to?
Craig Matthews Yeah, does anybody know? ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
***** Ok yeah that makes perfect sense. The show doesn't pay, but your sponsor's pay your way through.
***** Well, I don't exactly plan to be big enough by next year, so I'll just buy a ticket. It'll be worth it. Have to go!
I love the lighting and how clean as well as how professional your videos are.
Whenever I go on a trip, I always gotta bring my 3DS XL, Can't get enough of Pokemon
The one piece of tech that goes with me everywhere is my 13" Macbook Pro. It is so nice for typing papers at school or editing photo/video projects on the go.
My iPod classic goes with me everywhere! Never getting rid of the little guy!
I would like to see you putting them all in the bag neatly, so we can see all the little compartments and pockets!
Like videos like these that show others how to take care of their awesome tech and also being organized !
Agree with the guy who mentioned the standard Apple earbud earphones -- they beat large bulky $150+ dollars Beats crap, etc. and they are portable and surprisingly comfortable which is good when you are lugging around laptops, iPads, files, etc through airport to airport. Glad to hear that man! Thanks! :D
I noticed the hat clip on the GoPro. What do you attach it to? I got one with the head strap but never use it.

+Pryonto Sarker i replaced my beats pro with an audio technica m50x. i don't recommend uebooms any more, battery drains really fast. im planning to get a JBL Charge.
47crazed ive heard those are really good
I think I've seen this video 10 times! I also purchased just about everything here including the bookbag
I carry my iPad Air 2, 2014 15" rMBP (nearly top spec model), chargers, and my Tenqa Remixd Bluetooth headphones. Also use HTC One M8 as my phone.
On 0:43 what is that little orange hard drive called
Strong expressive-hand-motion game at the end there. Cool kit.
This has to be the best Tech Bag I've ever seen!!
Jon, can you put me in your bag and take me to CES? Thanks, bro.
I love the backpack but I can't find it in the exact colour as the video does anyone know where I can get it from please
With the bag you have easily fitting in a 15 inch MacBook Pro surely portability isn't an issue. So why the 13 inch?
I'm trying to decide between the 2 and was thinking that surely if my bag fits a 15 inch one then it make it portable?
You get a virtual high five at your face! man I love this part..
I'm not too much of a fan of that anker 5-port charger. I use the ORICO DCX-4U. It's got 2 rapid ports and 2 regular 1A ports. The 2 rapid ports are similar to anker's iq ports. Literally everything we need when were out is in that bag lol.. Good stuff... Great video...:)
holy smokes saw this video in 4K and i can see the dust particles on the items crazy high quality must have a great camera
Dope gears mate.
Thanks!
Jon I've been looking for tech bag for days and out of all the tech bag videos I've seen your tech bag is the best and the better looking😅(others bags look like turtle shells🐢)
Brilliantly filmed and nicely presented.. Keep it up man :)
hay john u gotto answer this.... why dont u use high-end dslr cam they are way better right.........like marques and ustin they use dslr in ces

What are you most looking forward to at CES? Specifically new technology.
Where to buy the table and which wood it is made of?
And also big fan of your videos sir!!
Without u guys we would not be making wise purchases on the technology.
Thank u!! :)
This was actually super tangible I though everything you put in your bag would be made out of gold or something. Super psyched for the coverage!
Hey! Some love for the Marley XLBT! It is really cool, although I'm partial to the autonomy of the Apple/Beats....so I do like the ok audio of Beats headphones.

I really like the Amazon basics retractable lightning cable, great quality..
2014 MacBook Air and iPhone 6 plus are my must haves :)
me too
Look at me...sitting here, watching videos with things I will probably never get. Getting satisfaction just to watch 'em. Feel me bros?
I actually just bought the Anker IQ and got it this morning. It's great!!
I bought the Spigen iPhone 6 Plus case you suggested, it's really great.
All's well on the tech side, but how do you manage to work out when you travel?
What desk is that and is it any good? E.g Sturdy.
You need to get the v mods xs headphones dude. So portable, amazing build quality, great sound. A little pricy, but well worth it.
Any chance you could make a v2.0 of the video
I ended up getting the level 8 back pack instead of that caselogic one. I think it looks nicer. I'm also not a fan of bluetooth because of the compression of the audio quality, it sounds terrible to me. I can't wait til AirPlay becomes more common on devices and price comes down.
Looks great! I carry my phone everyday no matter what it's the one thing I have with my at all times!
GoPro Hero 4, Nexus 5, Sony Vaio Tap, Case Logic backpack, ! tb external harddrive, some kind of bluetooth headset, Logitech g602 mouse, pens, mini usb, micro usb, usb-usb, headphone jack, music angel speaker, pc charger...

Keep up with the good videos Jon, and are you gonna make a version 2?
Awesome video as always Jonathan! Hope you have fun at CES.
Hands down the best way of doing a giveaway
Great video. Keep doing this, I expect even better videos in 2015. You are the best
Great Tech Bag tour, Jonathan. Looking forward to seeing your coverage videos at CES 2015. As travelling isn't what I usually do very often but if I'm on the go, I usually take my Windows 8 laptop, my iPhone 4s and my secondary budget android phone.
Nice man thanks
Hey Jon just wanted to to tell you that you know how to choose your colors. Really nice combos on your apartment
You should a house tour someday

What case do you have for your iPhone 6 plus its a nice case and I like it.
If you could only take one smartphone with you to CES, which one whould you choose?
I always carry my IPad Mini 2 with me as well as my IPhone 6 wherever I go, laptops are just too big for my bag.
I prefer the lg g3 because of its superior camera, however if you are interested with near stock out of the box then the moto x is a better option.
What do you think of WD external hard drives? I'm hearing that they're a higher quality than Lacie?
Hey man, what is your intro song? It's awesome! Just wondering. Thanks!
I've always got my trusty Mid 2010 MacBook Pro 15 inch. It isn't the best MacBook, but it gets the job done.
Got same case for iphone 6, but how can I tell if the case was Genuine or cheap duplicate ?
Though it seems solid enough but no logo or stamp inside the case.... so should the genuine have a logo or not necesarly ?
cheers
I´m so jealous about your iPhone 6+! :o But I better wait until the next iPhone gets released.
Love the intro bro..😊 the video was pretty awesome and informative. However, I'm partial because I've been a fan of TLD for awhile..✌
iPhone 6 Plus 64GB - never leaves me and excellent video quality shooting handheld!
The content is great man! The giveaways are ridiculous too I could never see myself with this gear but thanks to you I have a chance! Keep up the work👍
Do you have two separate SIM cards since you have two phones? Or how does that work exactly?
LG G3, Skullcandy Ink'D Red, and sometimes the 808 CANZ Red Bluetooth Speaker
Hi *****
Which is better the liberate bt of house marley or the bose mini sound link. Thanks.
I always have my Pebble Pro 13200 mAh battery in my book bag, powerful enough to charge my laptop battery and Note 3 at least once
I picked up that laptop backpack because of your top 5 video. It works great and it looks great. Thanks for the recommendation.
John, which camera you using for CES ?
FS7!
Awesome bro! Looking forward for some great videos by you from #CES. Really interested to see how you rate this camera. I watched the Cookie video by you and Dom, looked pretty good.
My Pebble Steel never leaves my wrist :D also my phone. Keep up the great work with the videos Jon!
I always carry around my RMBP 15' top model, iPad 2, iPhone 5S, Samsung M3 1TB, a EasyAcc 12000mAh External battery pack and last but not least my audio technica ath-m50 :)
Do u carry this around where ever you go or just on trips ??
Do you feel the house of marley headphones are more on hear or over ear?
What's a point if a Bluetooth speaker where would you really use it just wondering
I have my smartphone phone (HTC One M8) and I am sure to take my extended battery case or a charger. That's it. My computer and laptop are broken. 😭
Where did you get the bag? And sorry I just couldn't get the name of it
I like to bring my MacBook Pro 15" with me as well as my Bluetooth headphones (Sony Extra Bass Bluetooth Headphones). Great video! I'll admit when you said, "To get things wrapped up here..." I thought, 'awwwww.."
Great video Jonathan! Hope you have a great time at CES!
Thank ya!
