I think you have it spot on, if our Boks lose 1 its okay, they will probably be experimenting. I hope the Wallabies have a good run, their backline is dangerous when it fires on all cylinders.

I think that you're spot on about the Northern Hemisphere. I think that the Southern Hemisphere carry the same pressure to win more than they lose at least. It's going to be an epic series.

Thanks for a great show. Its a good opportunity for the southern hemisphere teams to gain points for world rankings . Boks won most of their games but didn't get much points because they played at home alot. Saying that I think we can only get points from England. Holding thumbs...

After seeing who Rassie chose for the Bok touring team it seems clear that he is going for three out of three, with the team that beat Argentina in the 2nd test going up against England while rotating for both Scotland and Wales. The Boks are also taking three front rows that is going to steamroller anything in front of them. Australia could just be the surprise package of these tours, providing they get decent weather and manage to keep their heads for the full 80 minutes.

Agree with all your assessment on all the teams
For me, England, over time, is still the "big rival in the North", for the Boks to measure us against - then followed by Ireland and France. England just went through a bad patch with bad / rotating coaches - and I expect them to be good at end 2024 and in 2025
I expect Argentina and All Blacks from the South - and Scotland and England - to surprise some of their opponents at end 2024

3/4 for England would be a great Autumn. 2/4 is more likely. I see us as tier 1.5 at the minute - good but behind the top 4 (France, Ireland, NZ, SA) by a step. I'd swap a loss to NZ for a win over SA all day. Ireland need to win all their games. Scotland and Wales - who knows? Both can produce great results. Will France pick a fully-loaded team?

When England toured NZ Scott Robinson had just taken over and the All Blacks hadn't played a test match for a while. Since then they have played a lot of games and we have played none so they now have that advantage. I feel we will be outclassed.
Against S.A. we have a decent chance as that will be a slugfest and we are not bad at that.

The Australian side have forgotten about the lineout and how it can win games in Rugby. Until they get the forward balanced I think Ireland England thrash them and Scotland will beat them. The balance side we had this year was against wales and we had three good jumpers in that lineout. Valentini, Wilson and Skelton are good players but onething they cannot do and is jump.

2 out of 3 for South Africa would have been fine if a) we were not playing so well and b) we were playing an Ireland or France. With all respect to England and Scotland, we should not be losing to them the way recent form has gone. We have a couple of injuries but none are game changing, mainly due to the extreme depth we have and we actually have some good players in good form returning to the squad (RG, Damian , Franco, etc).
Never mind the fans, but I don't think Rassie would be happy with any losses on this tour.

I'm feeling a bit pessimist over England's chances. I'll be at the all backs game, first time seeing them in the flesh. Given how the AB's went in the RC it really highlights for me how much of a missed opportunity it was winning at least one game down there against a rusty team under new management.
Feels like we need to beat one of NZ/SA. Its been a month or so since the RC, but they won't be as rusty. I find the schedule a bit odd, as historically I thing Eng would usually play the tier 2 nation fixture first up, and would feel a bit more confident if England had a hit out before playing NZ.
I hope my pessimism is proven wrong! There's the change in key personnel to consider too.

I rather agree with this but think it a pity you did not make statements on France, Argentina and Italy. Pressure is on Ireland to win all four to keep their number one spot with tough matches against NZ and ARG. ARG have deaden both SA and NZ and if they could scalp IRE and FRA, it would mean beating each of the top four in one season. FRA will EP want to beat NZ and ARG to stay in the top 4 Great for ENG to test themselves against both SA and NZ. Italy have big challenges with ARG and NZ and it would be huge if they could win either. NZ will have just played England, Ireland and France and could conceivably be looking either to complete a four out of four or win for the first time.

England getting 2 wins would be OK, depending on the nature of the losses. The only reason we could expect to beat ABs is because they've been underperforming but form can change especially with New zealand. Beating the boks would be amazing but they're clear favourites. We have to be realistic our front row is not world class, our 2nd is, our back row isn't, earl is but south has a lot to learn at international level and curry isn't back to his best yet. We don't have our first choice 9, smith is world class but still makes mistakes, the centres aren't great, good individually but not together, wabosos looked good, so far. Freeman's bang average on the wing. Furbanks world class. It's a team with strengths for sure, but there's a lot there to be exploited, both the ABs and the boks are more than capable of doing so! The wallabies game is no shoe in, neither.
