It's always painful to see athletes getting hurt like this. Sengun's been playing so well this season. He's very talented. Prayers for him to get well soon.
Its painful to see children starving in Palestine
@julianbashir8277 dude this isn't the space for political views and opinions. We have as much control over our government as your people have of theirs. With that said, find a different space for that.
@@julianbashir8277 yeah whole fucking world should stop bcs of a war in one place, just stop spaming that everywere, there is place for that, not on the video of a fucking basketball player getting injured, you are the reason people will ignore the war crimes bsc they are frustrated with your spam.
dude brought up prayers for a basketball injury, take that someplace else.@@FelicianoMediaCo
How about making him a sandwich, or just wish him a speedy recovery.
One of the most loved players sucks to see him hurt 🙏🙏
Bro, He's literally their best Player. I hope he's okay and I hope for a quick recovery
@@DadefreshXLlol no Jalen Green is. Sengun is 3rd after Green and Fred.

Sports are so lame
Really tough one to judge. The ankle could on its own be 4-6 weeks if high grade sprain. The knee, mechanism was a varus hyperextension, which at a minimum causes a lot of bone bruising and potential ACL/PCL. Hard to predict what the MRI will show so hopefully it’s good news in a couple days
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
🦶 looked hideous.
that's one of the worst, all of his weight coming down was on that ankle
There goes my Fantasy Season
I was watching the Rockets Home league pass and multiple times you could hear Alpi saying “my ankle is f***ed”. So I really think the ankle is probably more of the concern here based on what he seemed to be feeling. If it’s only 4-6 weeks, that is great news tbh.
Its bitter sweet when his page pops up. It means somebody hurt but love his information on whatever happened.
his page only lives by people getting hurt which is kinda bad
That’s just like saying doctors only live by people getting sick
firefighters only have jobs because houses burn which is kinda bad

Derrick Rose, Jamal Murray and now Alperen Sengun have all suffered severe injuries in the final seconds of already decided games
Eh, I wouldn't call this decided. Comfortable, yes. But if Sabonis scores there, it's a two-possession game. The takeaway here is that injuries can happen at any point in time, on and off the court..
They were up 8 with 40 seconds left. This game was well within reach
@@chasebingaman8 points down with 40 secs left is not “within reach” lol when the odds at the time was 99%
@@blue-phoenix115 crazier things have happened
8 points in 40 seconds is possible. No coach in the world would sit his starters in that situation
Praying for Sengun🙏🏽😔🖤
That's the same as doing nothing.
One of the scariest NBA injuries I’ve seen in quite some time. I really hope he gets well soon and recovers quickly 🙏
such an energetic player. Sad to see him go down. speedy recovery Sengun!
I wasn't ready for this video.
Horrorshow.
Prayers for Alperen Sengun coming from a Spurs Fan 🙏🏽 ❤
damn damn damn. This guy is the future of the Rockets, no doubt. Was having an awesome season. Hopefully comes back stronger than ever.
As somoene who has torn my LCL and had a bone bruise as well, it's definitely a pretty painful injury. Hope MRI and x-rays come back with good news.
Not a Rockets Fan but I do hope he isn't too injured and recovers quickly. Thank you for explaining all of this Dr. Sutterer!
This hurts so much 😭😭 We love him and will be back better then before 💙🙏
Damn man 💔
Prayers up for that young man to come back stronger and better, he was balling so hard, injuries have been robbing us so much, damn!!
Thanks for covering this so quickly. Feel bad for the guy. It’s been great watching him flourish this season
Thanks, Doc! Spurs fan here. I hate to see this. This kid has so much potential. Prayers up!
Same I'm also a Spurs fan. Brutal injury and it sucks to see. Really hope he can come back strong from this one.
Its so dumb to randomly bring up which fan youre a team of😂
@@rollin60z not really it's just saying despite being a fan of a rivalry team we still don't want to see those guys get hurt

His career might end
Thank you.. You are a great doctor..
Spot on!! turned out to be sprained ankle and bone bruise.
I’m so sorry this happened to Sengun, he’s a helluva player that doesn’t deserve this. One of the most unique players on the league, like Jokic in some ways but he’s also very athletic. Please get better soon, my Turkish brother!
Doc is teaching, I love this channel.
Great video. Thanks for the insight.
I love to see international players succeed. this really sucks and hurts to see. i hope this doesnt ruin his potential too much
That just looks so painful man 🙏🏻
You are a stud, Doc! Thank you!
Thank you for your coverage Brian we appreciate you. I'm a Native Houstonian and die Hard Rockets fan this is devastating for Alpi especially since he scored his career high of 45 points just a week ago. Prayers up hope he gets healthy and praying he doesn't have to retire early like Yao Ming did. Get well #28 💪🏿🙏🏿
Best we can hope for is Sengun's uneventful recovery. With Yao Ming's case, it leaned more on the fact that he had been playing professionally since his teenage years, and this accumulated over time. Coupled with his tall frame, even when he had strength training, Yao was basically doomed to have a short career especially back then.
Doc was spot on in his analysis. As a Rockets fan I had to sub.
Thank you for evaluating Alpi's situation. Appreciated!
Alperen, kıyamam sana! Nazar değdi! Dualarımız seninle!🧿💙🙋🏻♀️🌟🙏🙏🙏
Damn man this is sad! Thanks Doc for explaining.
Get well soon, Sengun. Hope he comes back better than ever,
Right on the money doc! Severe ankle sprain and bone bruise. No major damage thankfully to acl
Get well soon, Mr. Sengun! Thank you, Dr, for a great explanation
I hope a speedy recovery man that’s crazy
Thanks for the explanation! This one looked gruesome in real-time
Al-p is a strong kid.He will recover soon. Prayers for him.
Love seeing your content here. Very informative and helps understand the aspect of sports injuries we never get to hear about. Curious, any idea what happened to Bay for the hawks?
Ankle sprain and bone bruise for Sengun. Thanks for the early insight Doc!
It really a shame ,I hope he recovers fully and have not lingering issues , he is a really good young player...a lot of players are getting injured lately ,,
If there is a will, there is a way.
That is absolutely brutal. Just have to hope he comes back strong since he's still so young.
A lot of people were already comparing this injury to the likes of PG’s, Gordon Hayward’s, etc. Obviously I’m no medical expert, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he wound up with a major knee injury due to the awkward landing caused by the ankle “tweak”. It reminded me of Thomas Bryant’s ACL tear, where it initially looked like a clear ankle break-coming down on an ankle that was damn near parallel with the ground-but then realizing the off-balance landing made his knee buckle even more extremely. Whatever the outcome for Sengun, I hope he’s not too affected by things in the long run; he’s an exciting burgeoning young talent.
I’m so uncomfortable. Prayers for him man
Jfc, his ankle looks done for, as in bone break. Haven't even finished the video but the slow mow replay shows what it didn't when we were watching in real time.
Ah shit, hopefully a good recovery. Dude's an absolute machine
I felt that... Going down my spine.
hey, really enjoing this channel keep up the good work
I've been saying for months that something like this might happen! Alperen Sengun already has an unorthodox style and as long as he has to carry the team he's going to be very prone to getting injured. Alperen gets guarded more by opponents and he has to be far more active all because there's no 3-point shooters on the Rockets.
He shouldn't have to work as hard as he has to just because of teammates with low gameplay IQ and a serious lack of shooters. Either the Rockets need to fix the roster and get rid of the liabilities or Alperen should be the one moving to another team. I hope both sides have learnt their lesson.
you are right it was a bone bruising and ankle sprain
Thank you doctor
Oh no... I don't even like the Rockets but damn, I was more and more impressed with this guy. He burned Wemby in ways I hadn't seen before, just a very smart and interesting player, aside from his obvious physical gifts. Sucks to even see this thumbnail
It's enough his ankle landed that way, his knee made impact, and then it twisted in a horrific way. Sengun is such a good player. He's tough with good fundamentals. I hope that he will be able to make a mostly, full recovery, given his age.
gemiş olsun alperen seni seviyoruz dularımız seninle
Thanks a lot Doc. In Turkiye we pray for him.
Hey doc theres a video way back in the day of an early micheal jordan falling incredibly hard in an increeibly akward twisted up fasion. He miraculously got up from that and i would just be so interested to see you anaylize that video.
I’m a Kings fan, I hate to see athletes get hurt like this, I hope he gets back soon for a playoff push 🙏❤️
Get well soon praying for not a serious injury he’s fun to. Watch
Al P! Get well soon! 🙏
Do you have like a google alert for when someone gets injured or something? How are you on it this fast every single time? Super impressive
We love u hemserim guzel kardesim insallah iyilesirsin ❤
That ankle sprain looks really painful. I wish him a speedy recovery, he’s one of the brightest stars in the league right now
You’re a genius, Doc!
çok geçmiş olsun Alperen.
It sucks seeing this happen to younger players
Every generation of athletes has 4-8 players that have career altering injuries.
It's unfortunate that it had to happen to him.
I had something similar happen to me in 2011. I was in the Army and I had about 50 pounds of gear in my right hand. As I opened the taxi door with my left hand, I stepped in a pothole with my right foot. My foot, ankle and knee looked exactly like his. My ankle rolled so far that my knee almost touched the ground and it bounced me back up because of all the tension.
About 3 years later I felt a pop in that ankle while I was running and I immediately couldn't run anymore.
About a year after that, the Army Orthopedic surgeon had to do a brostrom procedure on that ankle. Now I have a wire and two bolts holding my ankle together.
He’s been balling too this season
Timely video as always doctor. I hope that he has a speedy recovery.
Praying for Alpi
these kinds of injuries are hard to watch! hope he recovers fully
Ouch 😢
Anddd we’re back !
NOOOOO!!! damn, love this player
Seen his warm-up routine, he seemed extremely flexible, hope that helps...
Looks like there may have been contact with Sabonis' right knee while Sengun was in the air on the come down. Sengun's expected landing location and leg angle could've been abruptly altered because of the knee on knee contact that may have occurred with Sabonis. Who knows - possibly a medial knee contusion even prior to landing awkwardly... Hopefully not as bad as it looked... Best wishes to Sengun for a speedy and complete recovery.
Such a rollercoster. Career-high against Wemby, first triple-double, then...this.
It was actually his fourth triple double
Hopefully it comes out good news for the young talent.
I tore my acl and meniscus and broke the cartilage in my knee, had to get surgery not the best feeling in the world
How do you analyze and produce so quickly??
Yeah looks like a LCL, which is often not that career threatening. PCL is pretty rare with this mechanism-usually more of a football or a truck collision type injury-takes a ton of force to snap that PCL.
Regarding the ankle- those ligament tears are being recognized as more problematic than we used to consider them. I hope he had an avulsion fracture rather than ligament tearing…
Prayers for sengun
I hope he is not hurt for the season. He just coming into his own
how can he just keep looking back at the injury so many times 😭my entire body feels injured and ive only watched it once
get well soon
I’ve watched this 3 times hoping I missed a definite answer. Last time I was this devastated about an injury to one of my fav players was Kobe Achilles injury in 2013. This is absolutely demoralizing.
Ouch 😭
This cold blooded I hope it’s nothing tore 🙏🏾
I'm surprised he didn't finish the fall on the video as it showed a very unnatural bend to the leg as it went back.. like it was loose and unconnected??? Hoping for a fast recovery. 🙏
One suggestion for future videos is to make videos from women’s sports. A player from LSU’s women’s team had a concussion who had to be taken out on a stretcher and many people have been talking about the correct way to handle concussed players. Hope you do more videos on women too
if he had move time then maybe . but if not i hope he sticks to nba
Rockets fan here yes very helpful just sucks see anybody get hurt
Very informative, thank you 💪 hope he recovers soon. Because just like me, he is the reason why Turkish people keen to nba screens back
OUCH I didnt see his ankle too on replay i thought he would be fine with just a hyper extention and be back in a couple weeks
I really like Sengun! I hope this is not as bad as it looks!
It's been good so far😥
yes yes Sengun will be back dr
Oh my God, I hope he gets well soon.
Ouch!!!!
Done exact same thing 6 years ago , ended up with fracture and torn ligaments
Quick question doc: with a fixed foot into inversion, I assume the tibia does a little ER as well. If the knee also goes varus, do we see any sort of strain on the medial knee? I’m thinking like crush injuries and such. Edit: he said more compression on medial knee. Thanks doc
That ankle will never be the same… damn. Hoping for a successful recovery
