Ola for the love of god will you please do an artist tone matching video for Suffocation?? Or get Terrence Hobbs for coffee with Ola? They have the secret to the most brutal tones
Holy shit lol a friend just texted me that I was mentioned in an Ola FAQ and I didn't believe him. What a trip! Love what you had to say, Ola. I'ma just keep doing my thing. Cheers dude! ::burps:
Dear Ola. Can you upload the "coffe with Ola" as a podcast to your spotify profile? That would make it so much easy to listen the interviews. Thanks for all
It's rough starting your own channel I started mine about 8 months ago and had no idea how to display my interest in music. I took this RUclips course on algorithms and how to set up wording, hashtags and description. Within the last week I had quadrupled the amount of people that have seen my videos .\m/. And I display all of my originals as singles instead of smashed onto one video so there's more of me to display on the platform. Now people are able to experience everything you have this way. An yes from watching "Ola" I've learned a lot and paying attention to how he answers questions and what he says to people's comments, there's a lot to learn it is tough" Rock on and good luck to everyone"!.

I enjoy when you film videos in your home. The lighting is great, and the views out your windows make it feel almost as if us your viewers were sitting in the room with you. Keep up the great content!
Hi Ola, I love your channel and I never missed any of your faq. It has been a while since last tone video with Carcass Heartwork. In this video you used Solar signature model for Morbid Angel, have you considered doing their tone video? That would be cool. Covenant, Domination Gateways to Anihilation are their best work in my opinion. Keep on doing greate content!
i respect your view on guitar gear, you’re obviously very into it but also know that it kinda doesnt really matter what you play. the market is way over saturated with stuff that is more or less the same but with a different name on it. for a new player this can be really overwhelming cuz the choices are endless. at the end of the day most gear really does seem to sound the same, its cliche but i’ve found it to be true, it matters more who is playing, not what you’re playing
Hola Ola, one of your Swedish Words of the Day came in handy for me last night (11-03-19). I saw Sabaton at the Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD, and just before the last song in their set, they had a Fika!!! AND I ACTUALLY KNEW WHAT IT WAS!!😂 It was an amazing show by the way, and you should have one or both of their guitarists on for Coffee with Ola. Love your content, keep up the great work!!! Kudos from the US!!!🤘🏾😝🤘🏾
The guitar pick story totally reminded me of the last time I saw Iced Earth. I’m convinced that Stu Block noticed that I wasn’t singing along with any of the newer songs and he sort of called me out on it. But they’re one band that I have to be up front for anyway.
Btw, Ola... what do you think about Iced Earth? Jon Schaffer has always had my ideal guitar tone. I think you need another segment called “Does It Bite?” because some of these amps chug but don’t have that bite that I’m looking for.
Ola, you aren't just some guitar player either. I think part of your success is you are entertaining. You aren't just on here playing guitar. You have fun segments and gimmicks and you're funny. It just works. I stumbled on your page when I was searching for some inspiration to get playing again and I watched your video on how to make good riffs. You had some great insights and also I thought you were funny as shit. I especially enjoyed the end when you gave the secret riff making technique. I was dying laughing and had to see what else you had going on and now I'm a subscriber. AND while I never really listened to the haunted or Feared before, i checked them out and now they are in my shuffle. Not only do you entertain me, but I've bought a new guitar, a bass a new amp, and I'm planning to make a small studio in my basement which is all mostly inspired by you. Keep up the good work!
On the matter of followers on channels i think it has to do with the fact that some people just don’t have the personality that appeals to the a larger audience. I found your channel when looking up reviews on gear and stayed because you have a wide range of content not just reviews. And all entertaining. Keep up the good work.
I am an older guy and I've played bass since I was 22. I'm 53 now and I had quit for a few years but then I saw you and Leo M.'s channels and it inspired me to get back in the game. Aside from your family, what inspired you to do all that you do? Thanks for helping an old dog back to the musical journey!
Great Video Ola, The reason people watch your videos (and not the 100 other dudes that shred like malmsteen on roids) is that you are funny, informative, Nerdy, Metal and Real.. (burps and all) greetings from Sunny Australia .. Rock on Brother \m/
We're not equal. You having fans viewing this is a testament to that. It's important to those who are more capable (call it natural leadership) to bring people with them rather than step on them though.
hey swede the ola, I just wanna thank you for everything. I literally always watch your videos and it really makes my days. you're an amazing guy with such a big charisma that you always lift me up. ever since I started watching your channel a few months ago, I've been going deep into guitar gear stuff (although I'm a beginner guitarist). because of you, I'll buy a Boss Katana Mini and a Solar guitar when I have more money. thanks for everything and keep up the great work now for the FAQ: check out the totally kickass brazilian metalcore/death metal band Project46 AND play some acoustic guitar for us
Hey Ola! You forgot to point out that your ~OVERNIGHT SUCCESS~ only took 11 years of perseverance, dedication, passion, vision and self belief.... Not to mention your family support team that believes in you that makes all the hard work possible. In saying that, You have also created a New Business Model for working musicians that doesn't require you to play the role of DEMIGOD! Instead you are accessible, humble and grounded, funny and Very Real, making it easy to identify with you. And ALL THOSE THINGS(elements)make ALL that you do INSPIRATIONAL! My son and I watch you together, and your channel makes him want to throw his hat into the ring and in his words ~GO FOR IT~ himself. So PLEASE Continue being Ola the INSPIRERRRR!
Question for your next FAQ. 3 - What would you do musically or compositionally different if you knew there would be no way you could fail? I suppose I’m saying the worlds your oyster, any changes that you might make would not impact your music negatively.
Ola I am very impressed by your enterprising activities, Solar ,solo record band project ,u-tube, seminars? that seems to be a lot of stuff. Good luck with everything.
Ola. I am on a 36 hour bus ride back home to Oregon. 20 hours in, no sleep, surrounded by smelly people ( myself included ). And this video right now is a much needed break from the stress. Thank you.
Thank you for making Sunday great again, I only found you a month ago so I'm playing catch up on your channel, but I'm loving it. Over the years I have had to sell gear for different financial reasons, and have all ways regretted it down the track. For you what was the piece or pieces of gear you have sold, and still pine for. 💀💀💀
So MR. Englund. We've seen play throughs. Gear demos. Guitar reveals and seen some of your factory' so when can we exspect to see the build process of Solar GUITARS !! ~ Very interested in seeing that process. Hello from Massachusetts U.S.A.
Could you go through a tutorial on how you mic up a cab and record? I know you have videos on this already, but if you have changed your technique over the years it would be great to see them. I think your guitar tone in your videos has greatly increased over the years.
Great work Ola! My country banks finally got monthly payments! Until now you could only have "one time payments". Now I can be member! Looking forward for my next paycheck to do that!
Congrats on your continued success Ola! You're becoming more of a culture than anything else! Plus you hustle your ass off to maintain for your family! Kudos brother! Blessing to you an your family!
Ola I first heard The Haunted on a streaming service and instantly fell in love with the music. I found out later that the man Ola that I was already subscribed to was the guitar player of that band. Just wanted to say I love what you do. I love your style of playing.
Hello Ola. I don't really have a question, just wanted to say i love solar pt 1, and 2 on master of the universe. Also the finish, and the wood grain on that red guitar is sick! Keep up the great work, and best wish on all your endeavors. You rock brother! 🤘😎🎸🔊🎶
Shit, i just thought of a question. I've never had a guitar with a reversed head stock. Does it do anything different with the sustain having the low string being longer past the nut, or is it just a appearance thing?
Just want to say thank you for your awesome work and i am so happy that you are so positive in your videos! It always brings a smile to my face and makes me want see the next video even more. And random Haunted show memory, standing right up front at the barrier at a The Haunted gig at Hultsfreds festivalen 2003 or 2005 and thinking ”this will be awesome” and forgetting that i had a broken rib (beer helped with that) and as the first cord rang out i was stuck to the barrier due to the crowd and could not move, just trying to headbang and man i felt that the day after in my ribs 😂 but so worth it!
hello Ola i always watch your videos because you're very informative for us musicians who loves metals and gears.. and the way you do your videos is cool and interesting.. no dull moments, unlike other youtubers.. more power ola.. yeah
Hey Ola, cool you built the shed yourself. But the roof isn't very strong. I assume you might get a fair amount of snow load on there in the winter. Look into adding a few more studs in the short side walls under roof trusses, and a middle support as well. I'm a carpenter, you actually built it well but also totally wrong, with a few more support pieces it should be fine for a shed, but as it is now it will sag under snow load and possibly crack the roof trusses. DIY is always best! Also get some roofing shingles you could get a proper roof on there yourself in like 4 hours the tarp wont last. P.S I ordered a Solar A1.6 can't wait to get it!
Hi Ola! One big reason I watch your videos, besides the awesome guitar playing, is you come across as an honest person doing what he loves. Your enthusiasm and positivity are inspiring. Question: i’m a solo artist experimenting with eight string guitar. When writing songs with it I have a really hard time figuring out something for the bass to do. Other than copying Meshugga, any suggestions?
Hi Ola, I’m a recent subscriber and I just wanted to say your videos are awesome and kick ass, keep up the good work. I’m a huge long time Dimebag fan and guitar player and I love all the Pantera cover videos especially with tabs. My question for your next FAQ is: any plans to come to Canada, specifically Toronto for any shows, clinics etc? It would be awesome to meet you for a quick picture or to try out one of your solar guitars if possible.
Not sure if I’m not seeing something but you might want to add some support to your shed roof. Usually you want the roof truss to be perpendicular to the longest wall not parallel with them. Long spans without proper support to carry the weight of snow could cause it to sag in the middle or worse collapse. Again I might be missing something in how you built it though.
Hey Ola just love your tell it like it is no bullshit way of doing your videos, just keeps me com'n back awesome FAQ, and theirs no such thing as too many guitars:) Thx stay Heavy!:)
Lot easier to get recognized and seen nowadays when I was in my twenties. I'm 46 now and have been playing guitar for 35 years I'm into everything from animals as leaders to Keith merrow monuments and I like a lot of the old players Steve Vai Frank gamble Guthrie Govan. I just remember the days before the internet literally had to put a tape into somebody's hands that knew somebody to have a chance
You have a beautiful house and for some reason it makes your videos more classy and enjoyable. You should keep recording at your house! haha PD: come to Argentina!!
You get a shitload of comments. So, quickly, Im subscribed cuz your a Swedish string jockey (my word), I crack up every clip too. Vids of outings like guitar shopping & novel visits are great to see, keep doin it please!
Hey Ola, here is a question for your next FAQ! I see that you are rocking some Thyrfing merchandise over the last couple of month. Do you have any special relation to them or is it because Fredrik is now endorsed by Solar? It is awesome to see you wearing their shirt because I think they are highly underrated, even if they are considered as legends in their genre. Keep up the good work!
Hey Ola, what is the nearest equivalent within the Seymour Duncan lineup of the Duncan Solar pickups? I love the sound and response of them, though I'm not big on the reverse headstock aesthetic of your Solar guitars.
Hey Ola, I have played guitar for over 20 years and I recently lost both my hands from frostbite. Would you have any ideas on how to play guitar again? I'm a huge fan! I bought 3 albums and a CD. Please never leave RUclips!
You should build up the earth around the shed for warmth and insulation like the ancient death metal Vikings did. You could even add more buried sheds for a longhouse studioshed.
Hey Ola greetings from Australia 👍 your content on RUclips is always consistently informative and entertaining and on top of that you manage to look after a guitar company, tour with the Haunted and constantly compose your own solo music and in the weight of it all have a family at the same time , my hat goes off to you my friend . Out of all of this what do you feel you struggle with the most to maintain?
Hello there, Ola, I've been watching your videos ever since I've found your recording heavy bass tutorial - awesome show, keep it up :) - as a suggestion for Coffee with Ola, how about a coffee with Olof Mörck from Amaranthe? Ola and Olof sounds like a nice dynamic duo :D - he's an amazing guitar player and an even more amazing person. Cheers from Transylvania, Romania :)
Hey Ola, how did you like the Morbid Angel album, Domination? I remember listening to Where the Slime Live on the school bus on full blast and getting weird looks, it was 6-7th grade. I still have the tape with that on a playlist. Morbid Angel, Sepultura, Ministry, Megadeth, Pantera, Down, Tool, Primus, Deicide, Hatebreed just to name a few from the ultimate mix tape I made.
Hey Ola, have you ever considered to write a song for Dimebag Darrel after you visited his memorial? Thank you very very much for your fantastic music. Cheers from Italy 😉
Greetings Ola! I saw an older demo that you made of the mooer Friedman preamp pedal and a separate one of the Friedman BE OD pedal. Could you have a shootout between these to show us how they compare?
I officially love you now after your comments to Robyn (and ABBA). Huge fan of her for 10 years. As much as I am of Metal! I absolutely love that you appreciate them too.
Ola I have a Katana head and have been tweaking it in various ways. Have you ever tried boost, overdrives with a compressor right after the amplifier instead of say in front of the amplifier? Have you ever tried a boost, overdrive and compressor after the preamp and before the power section on a real amp?
Just wanna say, thanks for all you do. Just got my first Solar, a TBR V, last month, and it's the best. And, because of you: Orbit Culture, is my new favorite band; they absolutely crush it. Cheers, and buuuuuuurps, from Ohio, USA. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Maybe I should edit my description before I post my video... lets just keep it as is.

Dear Ola. Can you upload the "coffe with Ola" as a podcast to your spotify profile? That would make it so much easy to listen the interviews.
Thanks for all
Macurio Araya I second this! I’m constantly listening to podcasts and I think it would be a great thing for you ola!
I very much agree!
Agreed. Maybe Spotify would allow Ola to add the Coffee segments to his artist page?
I don't think Spotify is like youtube. He doesn't upload all his music.

Im sp glad your focusing in pure quality on solar guitars it's truly refreshing
My favorite Cardigans stuff are their Black Sabbath covers. Amazing transformations. Wish they had done a whole album that way.
Awesome video, as usual, Ola. Thanks. And ABBA is awesome. I grew up listening to them. Cheers from Canada.

It would be awesome to meet you for a quick picture or to try out one of your solar guitars if possible.
Fancy chair Ola, and can we see the build with new shed please? 👍💪 @9:27 😍🛠️😉
Not sure if I’m not seeing something but you might want to add some support to your shed roof. Usually you want the roof truss to be perpendicular to the longest wall not parallel with them. Long spans without proper support to carry the weight of snow could cause it to sag in the middle or worse collapse. Again I might be missing something in how you built it though.
have you ever think about making a contest and giving away a solar guitar as the prize ?
Fran
>muh free guitar
Hey Ola just love your tell it like it is no bullshit way of doing your videos, just keeps me com'n back awesome FAQ, and theirs no such thing as too many guitars:) Thx stay Heavy!:)
Hola Ola, what do you think of the riffs in Persefone’s Stillness is Timeless? Can we see you playing it? Thanks for the entertainment and skills!
That livingroom sounds great!
Also, "Who needs warmth when you have Death Metal? (Gratuitous hand gesture)"...Awesome!
For a moment I thought that opening riffage was a Lamb Of God riff.
You have a beautiful house and for some reason it makes your videos more classy and enjoyable. You should keep recording at your house! haha PD: come to Argentina!!
I've heard before that some vocalists use burping in their songs to simulate deep growls easily, has Ola considered using his gas for music as well?
Hey Ola (G series Evertune is the best). I don't think you get enough credit for your comedic editing... always a highlight.
You get a shitload of comments. So, quickly, Im subscribed cuz your a Swedish string jockey (my word), I crack up every clip too. Vids of outings like guitar shopping & novel visits are great to see, keep doin it please!
I had to resubscribe for some reason, the "inner-net" isn't what it used to be in the States.
You Rock👍🏻
6:57 the right window scared the shut outta me
Hey Ola, how did you like the Morbid Angel album, Domination? I remember listening to Where the Slime Live on the school bus on full blast and getting weird looks, it was 6-7th grade. I still have the tape with that on a playlist. Morbid Angel, Sepultura, Ministry, Megadeth, Pantera, Down, Tool, Primus, Deicide, Hatebreed just to name a few from the ultimate mix tape I made.
Hey Ola, have you ever considered to write a song for Dimebag Darrel after you visited his memorial? Thank you very very much for your fantastic music. Cheers from Italy 😉
Can you show you set up for double leads in your axe 8? I struggle to get a good second line. Thank you. You rock
Just insulate the walls and ceiling and put up some Sheetrock over that. And with a space heater your little Barn will be pretty toasty in the winter.
Ola I have a Katana head and have been tweaking it in various ways. Have you ever tried boost, overdrives with a compressor right after the amplifier instead of say in front of the amplifier? Have you ever tried a boost, overdrive and compressor after the preamp and before the power section on a real amp?
Ola! Do you use the same string gauge on every guitar no matter what tuning you use on them? Greets from Vienna! :))
Just wanna say, thanks for all you do. Just got my first Solar, a TBR V, last month, and it's the best. And, because of you: Orbit Culture, is my new favorite band; they absolutely crush it. Cheers, and buuuuuuurps, from Ohio, USA. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
