Pucci may have a portion of Dio's power but just a portion - he doesn't have the insane healing factor Dio had back then. That punch to Pucci's face should have been the end of it.

Really really satisfying ty for this, because pucci was a good villain and definitely succeeded at making me utterly loathe him as a person, just like a lot of other Jojo villains like Diavolo, Valentine, Vanilla ice, Dio, Steely Dan and so many other utterly horrible people/villians. To answer why he didn’t is honestly really simple. Why would he jump and potentially leave himself open for an attack that can one shot him. Using the spear was safer, quicker, and easier. If Jotaro knew Pucci could see him he maybe would have taken the chance at that point. Or just killed Pucci earlier before when he was on the ground.
