What is this? Instant gratification complaints? The beginning is very magical and when Ana has to deliver she DELIVERS. It's honestly quite beautiful when you open up to it
This is my number one right now it’s amazing! With a revamp and the correct staging. Like an amazing staging this CAN easily do what Macedonia did last year. EASSSILYYY. They just need to pump up that first verse.
She needs to sing in Slovenian for sure in Netherlands and revamp the song to grab us faster and to amp up instrumentation...The chorus has to come in faster and the instrumentation with the water falling sound has to be more prominent...there is potential...
After listening to this a few times, I’ve suddenly come to realise just why I love this chorus. Remember in 2017, a certain singer from Iceland called Svala ended up representing Iceland with a song called ‘Paper’? Well the chorus in ‘Voda’ is reminiscent of the soaring chorus that was in ‘Paper’. And I loved ‘Paper’.
as a Slovene I was emotionally engaged from the very beginning and it got even better. (also lyric-wise) The lyric is really poetry - like Deban said!! I loved Ana Soklič's vocal from before (I knew what to expect and sort of started enjoying before she even started). Ballads are often boring and I get how this might seem boring in some contexts (not knowing the language is impractical but it's a google translate era and that's fun) but then again spectacles in chains are also boring ... I get soooooooooooo tired. I remember the year when Anouk -Birds was my lone favourite and she was the only one without some tiresome spectacle that was supposed to make me feel things instantly. In Ana's case I feel the flow of the song-it's not too much and it's not too little. I'm just wowed everytime. I love it, but I think I'll love however they change it tbh if they do.
Really Beautiful, but she has to enter the first chorus before and DO NOT translate it! She said she still hasn't decided on the language.

its gonna stay in Slovenian. She said on the radio this morning and she promised us a revamp so lets see. The original song was actualy written in english but she changed the language for EMA
She said that she's going to go back and revamp it with the composer. I really hope they shorten or do something with the verses because it kinda gets boring. That said, it's the biggest grower for me so far. Listened to it once and wasn't in love, 3- 4 listens and I loved it.
@Rasmus Andersson I just think that the verses may lose peoples interest with how long they are. Personally, I don't mind the long verses much at all but I know that I've saw people complaining about the verses in every comment/video I've seen. I don't find it boring though. I love ballads.
As a Slovene I agree - the song takes too long to become "interesting," but Ana said in an intrrview that they're working on a revamp, though they don't have much time, so we'll see what happens. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that whatever they come up with will be good. Unfortunately, it'll be hard to qualify out of our semi-final because of which countries are in it. 😕
Great reviews guys this song has a real mezmur attic feel about it the vocalist is absolutely beautiful and I really see with a little nip and tuck a little bit of a revamp going on this song could really take off and this could go where North Macedonia went last year good luck in the first semi-final this is one I really like
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SONG! The emotion, the melody, the armosphere..... it all works for me. I don’t need a banger or a bop to get my attention (although at this point there are far too many ballads), but this is how it should be done. She takes it not to the next level, but in to the stratosphere! After she hit that high note, NASA reported finding a load of wigs on Mars! She definitely scalped me anyway.... Definitely needs a revamp in terms of getting things rolling at the beginning, but the rest is (as Deban says) “pure poetry”
It is honestly beautiful, I liked the waterfall moments both the music and the wiwi graphics :)) I am waiting for Poland's review. Alicja was chosen on Sunday.
Hi, thanks for your reaction! here is the English translation: Unofficial Lyrics in English: [Verse 1] We move on, into a new time, we run away, far from here, we shoudn't stop, nowhere, the night will be long. You hear when my mind beats, this unrest, all this sound. [Pre-Chorus] Let them say anything, you as a nomad really know, that from words to action, the way is the longest. [Chorus] Water, as i lay down in the storm I'm in you till the end. The water is racing, but it can't go into us, but it can't go into us. [Verse 2] We still go on, in a different direction, so I can convince the lights. There's a ripped chair, standing, waiting for someone, waiting for a child. [Chorus] Water, as i lay down in the storm I'm in you till the end. Water, but it can't go into us, but it can't go into us.
Can you react to the new version of the song Voda? 💦I think that it is so much better than previous. I am so sad that the Eurovisiov is cancelled😢 but I think the song would have really good chance to get a lot of points. What do you think?
As a slovene. Can confirm that the song does not ring to deeply as a native speaker as well. Do not like her change to English in 2021. But I find this a common problem for slovenia and generally in smaller nations. On one side they are too afraid to go on with their local language. On the other side they try too hard to make the language too high Slovene. As tiny as this nation is there are pretty strong dialects (8 quite distinct dialect groups) so there exists a main "neutral" high dialect. Somewhat based on the mid but with a mix of other dialects. Basically it broadens the words in more sounds that you will ever hear a native speaker use. But such that each dialect understands. Imagine "queens english". But this also explains why most slovenians feel a bit...odd with slovenian in pop songs. For some reason the artists are obsessed with singing in neutral High Slovene. Would be like English pop songs would be mostly in Queens English. a bit...odd. I imagine the other tiny nations have a similar problem.
Hey guys, you gotta finally check out Poland's NF! All three songs were dope, well at least if you compare them to a whole bunch of mediocre songs you've already reacted to.
Voda is not a nonsensical noun in this song. The lyrics are talking about the death of her child, and how her and her partner's life have been turned upside down by it, and she says that she will let the flow of water (life) take her and carry her around but she won't let this floodand chaos into her soul. Honestly the lyrics are so beautiful.
Well ... I understand Slovene because I live there for almost 5 years and the song is kinda boring (most of it) but I dig the chorus and the voice so you right them jury will love it not sure about the voters haha European have very unpredictable music taste .
What is this? Instant gratification complaints? The beginning is very magical and when Ana has to deliver she DELIVERS. It's honestly quite beautiful when you open up to it
Why are you all so impatient? What is wrong with having that beautiful introduction? If viewers cant appreciate beauty then so be it.
Deban looking at the camera in crushed boredom cracked me up 😂
This is my number one right now it’s amazing!
With a revamp and the correct staging. Like an amazing staging this CAN easily do what Macedonia did last year. EASSSILYYY. They just need to pump up that first verse.
Thanks from Slovenija
🤣 this is your number one ☝🏻 but the song only needs a total revamp and different staging?! 🤣 🤣
It will stay in Slovene, and also get a revamp - probably shorter first verse
She needs to sing in Slovenian for sure in Netherlands and revamp the song to grab us faster and to amp up instrumentation...The chorus has to come in faster and the instrumentation with the water falling sound has to be more prominent...there is potential...
Well there wont be a Netherlands this year...
She got a great voice and somehow she reminds me “Kruna”.
go and listen to 'paper', from iceland, eurovision 2017. the chourus is the same
Same😍
The song is mesmerising! It builds slowly... I'm surprised you guys didn't feel that!!!
VOOOOOOOOOODKAAAAAAA
@Cassandra Rodén ft From Russia With Metalheads 🤣

LMFAO THAT THUMBAIL KILL ME SO HARD
Lyrics
Let's move on
To a new era
Let's run away from here
Far away
Let's never stop
Anywhere
This night will be long
You can hear my mind pounding
This unrest
All this noise
Let them say what they want
As a nomad you know
That words to actions is the longest road
Water
During the storm, I lay inside you until the end
Water rushing
But it cannot break inside us
But it cannot break inside us
Let's drive away
Drive the other way
Away from the lights
From beliefs
There is a broken chair
Standing
Waiting for someone
Waiting for a child
Water
During the storm, I lay inside you until the end
Water rushing
But it cannot break inside us
But it cannot break inside us
One of the best songs of 2020. Just get in touch with your soul to understand it.

The chorus it's INSANELY GOOD. The first part it's a little long, I hope the revamp let her to fix the little issues. Her voice is ♥️
Guys I love u sm, you always make my day, greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
I love it. My top 3 right now are Norway, Slovenia and Italy ❣️💞❣️💞❣️
Norway is my first
1. SLovEnia ❤️ 🇸🇮 winning song!
It is honestly beautiful, I liked the waterfall moments both the music and the wiwi graphics :)) I am waiting for Poland's review. Alicja was chosen on Sunday.
The chorus is really powerful but she needs to get there sooner, before people go for a toilet break!
Left guy: i think voda means water
Right guy: here we have some vOdA
I am solvenia by the way
Debon is my spirit animal. His reactions are everything!!!!!!!!!
Pretty ballad. Nothing more.
Voda=Water

Potentially Slovenia's best ever

It's a fine ballad with a good voice. Nothing more. In a Bloodbath that is first semi, I don't see this qualifying.
it means water
It is poetry. I think noone would mind if thins wins ESC2020 (which it won't) but it could also come in last.
Deban got new hairstyle. Much better! 👍
Voda
I'm from Slovenia 😁😁😁😁😁😁
This really reminds me of albania 2019. It will get through but will not get a high score in the final.
To be honest, Voda is like a grownup version of Vetra
When is the reaction to Poland?❤️🇵🇱👑
kings of thumbnails
Slayvenia is back
you drink it the music is playing it :D hahaha funny you are guys :D
My favourite is a good old still water. Dont get all the hype around sparkling water, I find it very unenjoyable
The chorus is pretty but the rest is just a total borefest.
In a nutshell, the chorus only has two notes, and that’s not enough to compensate for the static verses.
Are you going to make a reaction video about Polish entry?
Please react to our Alicja with Empires ❤️🔥 Can't wait to hear your opinion!

A Lucy Jones style revamp will do this wonders
It will draw former yugoslav countries in juries and televotes
Not necessarily. Check the past. It doesn't always happen.
No it won't. Ex-Yu country kinda forgot we exist.
I mean in 2019 and 2011
I don't feel it. The staging could lift it, but good staging can't save a song from being boring half of the time.
I ADOOOORRRREEEE everything about this... except for that first verse................................ litteraly
At least she is better than the other candidate from slovenia Ben Dolic
Hey guys, you gotta finally check out Poland's NF! All three songs were dope, well at least if you compare them to a whole bunch of mediocre songs you've already reacted to.
yes and poland is boring too...
Hey guys, why don't you react to Poland! Can't wait ^-^

I can't help but sing Vodka
That thumbnail tho ;D
And why SHOUTING so much?! You tell me...
The woman can sing but the song takes too long to make an impact, it needs a revamp
Good voice, but why is it a thing now to scream random two-syllable nouns on a melody that goes "fourth --> third"? "Voda"... "Paper"...
Voda is not a nonsensical noun in this song. Dull, i think this will challenge Albania for the biggest flop song of the year. She can sing so give her a killer song.
I am from Slovenia and our song for Eurosong is booooooring. We need a song to light some fire not shut it down.
My least favorite song so far.
The song is boring
Bilive me you dont want to know slovenian ker ti ne predlagam
The song is boring in my opinion and Slovenia will not be in the finals
