Doug, I'd watch a video of you shooting peas out of a straw. Everything you think of would make a great video. Its not the subject that counts, its you. Thanks for sharing your imagination and creativity.
Doug you are such a good woodworker that the Big Foot project gives you 2 different wall hangings. The guy you cut out is one and then the negative version of him missing from the original piece you cut from. I am thinking if you take the piece you cut out from and did a lamp or candle behind it you would get two great pieces from one great process. Just a thought but you are right - it is fun!
So cool. Please don’t ever change Doug. Your still such a kid at heart. Gotta have fun in our lives. I always say if I can’t have fun at work then I’m at the wrong job. Lol. Thanks for sharing.😘
Awesome choice of music during the scroll sawing sequence Mr. Linker! Really sets the mood for your "BIG REVEAL"! May your imagination/originality keep you as entertained as we are awaiting/longing for your next original release..... Thank you Doug!
Loved the music on this one!!! Very fun! It turned out Awesome!!! I liked the hidden look also. All of the things you thought of to make out of the bark were amazing! I just love to watch you make stuff and your happiness is contagious in a Good Way! :) Love to you and the family. Peace and Good Fortune and Good Health to you and your family.
Great idea Doug. I liked the one when you were pushing it thru the board. I really love both. Your talent is amazing for sure. God bless. Stay safe.♥️🇺🇸🌹
Great project Doug!!! Being a 'Squachie', I really enjoyed how you created the big guy! I recently carved a couple Sasquatches' and had a fun time carving and wood burning their fur. I used plastic pin heads for their eyes which made them glow red. I had alot of fun carving them, but also would love to see you carve a Sasquatch for us too! Keep up the great videos! May you and your's STAY SAFE and HEALTHY ALWAYS!!!
I modified this craft a bit. I bought some cork squares and used one of those to cut out bigfoot. My daughter took it a step further and cut a tree line out of some of the squares and painted them black, it turned out looking great. She is home for the weekend from college and this project really helped her unwind. This will be hung up on her dorm wall next week I'm sure. I enjoy your channel. Thanks.
Cool! My first thought as you were popping it out of the wood was Cool an easy one piece puzzle. lol Would love to see you make a log cabin someday. "Not one to live in yourself" lol One for all the little people to live in. with an outhouse and all. It would be pretty cool to see. I hope to see you and Shawn or just yourself go on a canoe trip. You always show the best scenery in your canoe videos. It would make many days of video watching you build a little log cabin. It would be lots of whittling the bark off the small branches to make an authentic log cabin.
Love this one Doug !!! The Hide and Seek Champ, on the prowl. I agree, only partially pushed outward keeps with the theme of him being so stealthy in the forest.
Good job and after popping out the big foot the left over outline is itself a great art work. Stick a Transparent colour glass behind and make a box. Put a bulb inside. A lamp shade is done.
Cool project, Doug. I loved the pop out idea as well. I think I also would have used the piece you cut it out of to make a cool wall-hanging or something.
Doug, thank you for the videos. After years of wanting to carve wood , not knowing where to start and being too embarrassed to approach a timber merchant, thanks to you I now have a carved bear with number two on the way.
I really like the texture of that big foot. My neighbor just put a big metal one in her front yard. I'd like to make a bark one for her Christmas tree. Thanks for the ideas!
I. Love, It! I have used that same Bigfoot pattern to make a little leather patch for my beanie, burned into a leather knife sheath, and painted on my boat paddle (holding a fish of course). Also have one to put on a throw pillow at some point, And...I want to make an 8' cutout to put in my yard :-)
I love it all. Even the wood bowl for polyurethane . Thanks for the idea. I have dead or dying ash trees available, (sadly due to the beetle) and I have always loved the bark. I just didn't know how versatile it was until your videos pointed this out. Thanks Doug. Now I will have some winter projects. Better go harvest some bark. Take care
Hey Doug I grew up in the south and l’ve heard older people tell stories about { The Bugger }and l do believe them. My Mom said I know you think that we’re trying to scare you but please listen 👂 and we did. Thanks Doug! 👍👍👍💯💯💯
Post 2 of 2: I love your BigFoot Doug!! It also looked cool 3d still attached on the square plywood. I also like your other ornaments and fun decor made from that rehomed bark you brought from the longhouse project.
Hi loved it , I also liked the 3D affect when you finished cutting it out , with the right varnish on it ,it would make it stand out ., PS a coffee stain look or a lighter linseed oil
Doug is a so clever, a wood Carver, wearing wooden shoes, making a Bigfoot , out of wood and bark. There is a pun in there somewhere. Another entertaining video. Good one Doug.
Doug, just a tip for a pattern. Put a layer of blue painters tape on your work piece first an then glue the pattern to it. After you cut the piece out, just peel off the pattern and tape. You can also use packing tape. The packing tape actually lines the saw blade and makes for a cleaner cut.
I love it, also love when you first popped it out it would have looked awesome just pushed out but left in the other bark too. Either way you can’t go wrong now you have me thinking about this piece of black birch bark sitting on my bench. What might it be ? 😂 thanks Doug all your videos are great please keep making them it helps me get away from my 40 ft oxygen leash even just in spirit.
I love it! What a simple yet fantastic project. I agree that the pop-out version while still on the pine is also cool. It encompasses the mystery and camouflage of Bigfoot. Could you please make a wood carving tutorial for a big foot figure? I would love to make one for my dad for Christmas because he loves Bigfoot. Anyways. Great vid!
Doug,
I'd watch a video of you shooting peas out of a straw.

Must see him carving the straw and peas first. That would be a great video 😆
larry carroll , well said, my feelings exactly.

Great idea Doug ,, I liked the pop out (hidden) Bigfoot also.......

I said the same thing without seeing your reply Woah like thinking minds.

Absolutely loved it!!! Thanks Doug!!!!
Very nice. I loved Bigfoot in relief, half hidden, elusive.
Awesome choice of music during the scroll sawing sequence Mr. Linker! Really sets the mood for your "BIG REVEAL"! May your imagination/originality keep you as entertained as we are awaiting/longing for your next original release..... Thank you Doug!
You are so right; the bark is PERFECT for Bigfoot! It suits perfectly. The ornaments look cool too.
Absolutely Love it!!! 💗💗💗 Also, love how you "took a few pieces home". Great sense of humor.
Thank you , Mr Doug .

Soon as you started to pop it out, that for me was it, as you said subtle and so effective.
Great project Doug!!! Being a 'Squachie', I really enjoyed how you created the big guy! I recently carved a couple Sasquatches' and had a fun time carving and wood burning their fur. Great Bigfoot craft! The bark idea works great for the look of fur.

That's awesome Doug!!
Too fun! I will do a double take now every time I come upon a ash tree to see if Bigfoot will suddenly emerge! Thanks for sharing!
I love watching your creative side takes over and you bring an idea into being. Take Care
That Was fun. Great idea. The bark does look like fur. Enjoyable 😀💖

Love they way that turned out! Really liked the push out.. wry much! 👍🏻😎🐝
I love the bear carving. These would make nice furniture knobs and lamp & lamp shade ornaments.
I love this Bigfoot! Reminded me of you and Joe and the Samsquatch night... Good times!
You figured out Big Foot’s secret. They hide so well because they are covered in bark, not fur. Really liked the relief/hidden Big Foot idea as well.
I do very much like this one! I ❤ Bigfoot and your channel Doug. 🎣 ⛺ 🌞🌳
Love me the Bigfoot.....thanks for sharing
That was awesome! I especially like the partially pressed out version. Sweet!
Spot the Klompen!
Of course, let's have fun in the shop! Hobby's are supposed to be enjoyable. Your scrollsaw skills are better than mine.
Now on a suitably coloured T-Shirt that would look great for selling on as Merch. Thanks Doug for the interesting idea and final outcome.
Just have to watch your tent poles when Big Foot is around! Great video
Good job and after popping out the big foot the left over outline is itself a great art work. Stick a Transparent colour glass behind and make a box. Put a bulb inside. A lamp shade is done.
Great project Doug! Well done!! 👍😁
So cool! Loved it when it was still with the backing!

The pop out of the figure from the blank gave me chills, that looks great. I'll have to find a suitable bark in Florida to try to replicate
I really like the texture of that big foot. My neighbor just put a big metal one in her front yard. I'd like to make a bark one for her Christmas tree. Thanks for the ideas!
Good to see you tutoring again. ML&Aloha Your Boy Kekoa&Ohana.🌿🐿
I love it. Absolutely brilliant and simple but effective. Nice job sir.
10:34 I agree, it sort of emphasizes Big Foot being hard to see, hard to find. Love these arts and crafts kind of videos, Doug!
I. Love, It! I have used that same Bigfoot pattern to make a little leather patch for my beanie, burned into a leather knife sheath, and painted on my boat paddle (holding a fish of course).
