For people who are considering purchasing the Velvet, I just want to say that mine came with a screen protector that fits the curves perfectly and completely. The only part that's not covered is the very narrow section between the ear grille and the top edge of the front facing camera.
Thanks for the in depth. I was using the old iphone se and I really needed a new phone. I was familiar with android and I wanted that platform for a many reasons. Monthly costs for a new iphone-$38 to 45, flagship Galaxy phone-$32-55. I got the Velvet for a fraction of the cost and I know I can be satisfied with it for the 2 year term. Absolutely thrilled with massive screen!
I absolutely LOVE my new LG VELVET 5G Phone. It has a long and slightly narrow design but is actually bigger than it first appears. I thoroughly glad I ordered this one
In June, I bought the LG V60, and it is one of the best phones I ever had! Sadly my duel screen case (the display screen) got a crack on it so I went to my phone company to see if I could order a new one in And they said they cannot because LG was done with that phone for a while. I thought she got mixed up phones so I said "This phone is brand new! It was released in March of this year!" and she said "Yep! LG has stopped supporting it!" I was in shock because the phone wasn't even 9 months old yet. So I tried phoning LG and ask if they can send me a new case. I told them that I wanna buy it, money isn't the problem. and they said they don't supply them any more. I was quite upset. Why release such a great phone if you are just gonna give up on it in a few months. I can still get cases and such for my blackberry phones. and one of my Blackberry phones is 6 years old! And I know Samsung supports their phones for at least two years and I am sure Apple does too. Just so disappointed with LG. Such an amazing phone but this will be my last phone I will get from them.
The LG Velvet has such impressive name and design. OLED Screen and USB-C cable speaks excellent security. Its slim design is easy on hand for anyone regardless of gender and age. As time progressed smart phones at its solid-state design got stronger and each user have gotten more familiar to their phone.
I always loved LG, QUALCOMM and all. My first LG smart phone was G2X. Yes. There was not a bad side of it depends on what you do with the phone, you either love it" or learn your lessons well. Tip on installing skin: Push the top of the phone into the upper middle of the skin then slide up into the top of the skin. One in the top, just pinch both sides of the phone and skin from top to bottom, snug in one bottom corner, then pinch in the remaining corner with a bit more effort. Pops into place

@Tomas Villegas *Great review!* I am really interested in getting this device to replace an aging Motorola Z Play device. I see it is now being sold for $250 USD (as of Sep 2021). The Dual-Screen might not serve too much of a purpose for me except using it as a case and/or protective cover. That *front-facing bokeh mode* camera really is a great addition. The background noise is really minimized whilst the voice is highlighted. I hope you do a *'one-year later' review* cos I'd like to know how it has held up (esp. the battery life, OLED screen and 5G connectivity).
It is available on shopee. I was also checking if it works really well, seems like it does. Check it out on shopee, but some of them are secondhand (95-99% smooth).

That answer really depends on where your priorities are. My model's main camera aggressively sharpens subjects on large frames, while the ultra camera offers natural edges but less detail. Granted my model uses a SD845 and I've not tested the 48MP mode yet. As Tomas's pictures have shown, colours look very pleasant and what you might not notice is how accurate they are. Close-ups are simply beautiful and full of detail. Dynamic range is not a mind-blower though, but from what I've seen it's good enough to produce good pictures. My main issue is the oversharpening, if I can find a way around that, I'll be very happy with the camera. Charging speeds are good, not the best I've ever seen, but if you have even an hour to top it up, you'll get a good percentage and battery life is great. Unless you are always on the move and only ever have a few minutes to charge it, I really don't think charging speeds will bother you. Another thing you might be worried about is the supposed stuttering or performance issues, I've not come across any of that except when I used gestures with Nova launcher on, which is reasonable since A10 gestures don't support third party launchers. Aside from that, the phone is fast and smooth. It's a very good phone for the price IMO and the audio experience is impeccable, I never knew what I was missing on with the dual stereo speakers until I got this.
Love the phone. I hate the fast charge because if you have a charger problem it will be stuck on slow charge and take 14 hours for almost a full charge on off

What is the average charge time of the Velvet? I have one myself, along with an Arc Reactor Wireless Charger which supports wireless fast charge. Lifegoson 1 they see this video after it posted. They may or may not take my suggestion.
This is a good idea, I'll try to contact them as well, perhaps if there are many requests they'll update it.
I couldnt decide what phone to get, so i bought a samsung s20+ and LG Velvet. Lol
Wraparound screen, nope! Durability score for a handheld device that gets dropped, forget it.
Great review. Thanks for the info. Just ordered the Velvet and got it on sale brand new for $160 CAD from my cell provider. For that price I think it's a great deal. I'm not expecting the best, but I feel that I'll be happy with my purchase. Thanks again for an honest, open review. :)
Thanks for the comment 🤝
