Abby Steiner is coming off foot injury and getting back to her for and former 21.77 time, so let's see what happens once she has a little time to get back into top condition
Neither Gabby or Abby looked good in this race. hopefully that will change.
This is why Femke Bol will not beat Sydney. Core speed! Bol is just not fast enough. She could match Sydney in endurance, strength and hurdle form, but if her core speed is less, Bol just can't make that up. Sydney will go sub 50 at Paris in the 400 hurdles and set a new world record!
Bol "just not fast enough"?
That should explain why she broke the World Indoor 400m record...
@@Logans3RunShe doesn't have the level of strength in her running that sydney does, to touch her top end speed, after clearing all of those hurdles. That's why she beat her so badly, at their last meeting. She doesn't come close to Sydney, in outdoor events. That's just facts.
@Logans3Run She didn't run against Sydney as she doesn't run 400 flat typically let alone indoors. What is Bol's best 200m time? She doesn't run that event because she doesn't have the core speed to be competitive at the top level. Femke is a great athlete. Sydney is an exceptional athlete.

What in your expert opinion, does "core speed" mean?
Interested to know...
@Logans3Run I'm not an expert, but hurdles were my main event when I was an athlete. So, I understand the components of the race that you can improve to go faster . Hurdling has all the requirements for the event without hurdles when it comes to training with the addition of your form going over the hurdles and the number of steps between the hurdles.
When you leave the ground, you slow down, so your form is to get you over the hurdle and back on the ground as fast as you can. The more steps you take between hurdles, the more energy you burn. Also, the number of steps affects your lead leg over the hurdle, which can help or hurt you running a turn.
Centrifugal force is pulling you to the right on a counter-clockwise track. The tighter the turn and / or the faster the speed, the greater the pull (it's why they bank turns indoors). Landing on your left leg over the hurdle on a turn will pull you to the left slightly. Landing on your right leg pulls you slightly to the right from which you have to work to get back heading left into the turn. More work equals more energy burned.
As a student of my event, I knew I could improve on each component individually, which, combined, would improve my performance. But, my genetics was a barrier. No amount of training would get me past it - fast twitch muscle. Google it.
Femke Bol doesn't have as much fast twitch muscle as Sydney. This is why you don't see Femke running a 200 against elite competition, let alone winning. All else equal, genetics is king. The equally trained sprinter with more fast twitch muscle will typically beat an opponent with less in their body depending on the percentage difference. The closer the difference, the more variable the result.
If Sydney trained for the indoor 400, she would hold the world record, not Femke.
Sydney is still young....It will take another good 5 to 6yrs for someone to topple Sydney Mc.Based on this kind of form that she is in right now...I doubt it very much that anyone would just walk in and try to outrun her....
It took her years to earn that.....
She said it was just a tuneup race for her. She's running the 400 meter hurdles at the Olympics. It was an exercise for the sprint after the last hurdle.
Not "just in"
I saw it on another RUclips channel 24hrs ago momo
Nothing surprising since at 18 years old she had already run in 22.39, it's only the start of her season, she is far from being in peak form, she will run even faster in the trials! This girl is amazing.
She said it was speed work for the hurdles after clearing the final hurdle. She is sooo strong.
Sydney!
Just in?? This is late news.
Just in? Try 3 days ago.
I love the spoilers in the topic heading. Saves me from watching the video.
They are not spoilers. They are just normal results of a race that HAD BEEN RUN a few days ago.
MCLAUGHLIN'S RULE!
Shericka vs. Sydney for the 200m run
Sydney sticks to 400m hurdle event-don't over-hype her. Doesn't the time that GABBY DID tells you that it was an off-day for her.
@@JRcalifornia ok
Le tenemos a la dominicana Marileidy Paulino
Y debería estar muy contenta de que Sydney no corra el 400 flat este año.
That’s it. His phone or tablet.
What happened to the 100m race?
You have chosen this race once two yt women became popular in it.
The premier race is the 100m race. Remember that?
Should have just shown the race
Why? It was run a few days ago. It aint f*cking live.
Sydney has a great arm action unlike Abbie Steiner who has a terrible arm action
I love Sydney, but when it comes to actual racing, she is a serious tease.
Nbc is a joke. Pumping up all these women. And they got blown out the water. Lmao
Don't over hype Sydney-she should stick to the 400m hurdles event -there are upcoming young athletes who are going to be faster than her in both the 100m and 200m. AS FOR GABBY this was just an off day for her she did not do well in the 100m or 200m.
Anyone but Abby!
Why? Shes just a serious individual athlete like everybody else. And as much as you think these athletes are representing a whole effin race, NO THEY AINT. Its you dumb ignorant fans who make it into a inter-race thing or a US-Jamaica thing ...
while all these athletes are respectful of one another, great friends even !!!
Dude. Hater! Wow
Haha. amazing how 99% of the Abby hate has died down. But you're still out there buddy - well done!
@@sawmanbigtreeslayer2360 Just refreshing to burst the white saviour mentality some viewers attach to their sports entertainment. Much like the little white basketball rookie still winless after 3 games.
@@rayflaherty3441 You are most welcome - if it makes your month feel good as it makes mine! The white Abby fans can stop hurting themselves with false hopes of their idol outracing black people in every race. Reality check time!
