Games back then had _amazing_ reflections that aren't replicated in modern games because the amount of detail that need to be replicated are 100x more complicated and require way more power
@@mvnkycheez nah it's just because cs source reflections aren't real time ones. Source uses cubemaps which just take pictures around the map, flip those pictures and then apply to surface. New games use screenspace reflections so anything on your screen will be reflected. That includes moving objects and the game has to calculate these reflections 60 times a second. Source only has to calculate them once. Hope that explains.

While on Dust2. Check short and look up. Valve removed some props near the rooftops that I used for smoke lineups. Also on cache throughout this year they did change the props behind car on A side changed. Messing up my wallbangs(can't wallbang with AK or Deagle anymore).

I noticed the plant between ct side and market at mirage faded out if you go close to ticket area, and it wasn't like that before. it's not a big deal but distracted me when we're mid-round and after plant scenarios bomb planted on A.
Imagine being a map maker at Valve and spending countless hours trying to fix up maps and when you go home and fire up youtube for a little relaxation you see in your recommended a video where a dude goes over all of your hard work and points out all the tiny mistakes you made which maybe even you didn't notice. I imagine every Valve employee sweating bullets every time a new 3kliksphilipp video is uploaded.
I wonder if the reason those props were tilted slightly was not because of an update but because they are all physics objects and slight randomness in the source engine caused them to settle differently every time the map is loaded.

When you go to the room right of he'll from CT spawn and you go to the far right corner, the rounded one, when looking at control room move forward and backward and you can see a door or two's textures appear and disappear. Valve pls fix. (Found this while doing control room smoke challenge)

Siege: complete overhauls in every single map in 5 months, changing every aspect. CSGO: this prop has shifted 2 degrees clockwise, literately unplayable.
When you have to re-learn the whole map because a soda can outside the playable area is rotated 0.19° counter-clockwise.
That's why CS:GO is dying.

I think the tiny tilts are not changes, but the the nature of the props being physics props.
Nuke's valve change is never shown 'after', just the 'before' version is seen
