I remember that you said you were getting one when Des and I went out fishing that cracking day. Looks like its working well and more importantly, catching fish. I've been showing the guys at work your videos, They're impressed.
Great video! Thinking of getting a Minn Kota Powerdrive for my Stratos 170FS.... Recently started fishing the Little River Inlet in northeast South Carolina. Thinking this gadget would be a game changer.
Hey James, it’s a 10mm ally plate. The place I purchased motor in Cairns (Pete from spear and tackle) has them cut up to suit quick release puk. The plate is 320Lx175W 👍🏻
hey mate love your vids what outboard do you run and where do you keep your battery on the boat. I also love to fish blue water inlet might see you out there one day.
Does the quick release bracket come with the motor, or did you buy it separately? Great video, thanks for reviewing it for us as there are few others that have reviewed this particular model
Hey dude, I have a water tank with 12v pressure pump so can flush motor if need be while away, but tbh I never really bother until I get home. I use a little 3000lb winch on roof to load and unload tinny 👍🏻 Check out these if you haven’t yet m.ruclips.net/video/fTI1rX99CiA/видео.html ruclips.net/video/IN8HNFTwXZ4/видео.html m.ruclips.net/video/kAU9INV1BD4/видео.html
Hi mate! Thanks for your video. Loops great! I am also looping for the exact same motor. It seems that i can only see the 54 inch shaft lenght. Could you advise where to purchase the PD with 45 inch shaft like you have?
Hey mate, cheers for checking it out. Yeah BCF had the smaller shaft models in stock before they changed to the 54” I think you’ll only have a couple options, contact BLA they are minnkota dealer Aus and see if you can get a 45” shaft. Modify the length of the 54” to be shorter Or call around to see if any BCF or Road tech marine etc have old stock with the smaller shaft. Hope you get your hand on one mate 👍🏻
Nice video mate ! Is that Minn Kota the Riptide model. I am looking to buy the Riptide at Barrajacks $2800. Also your reel is it a Stradic Vanford 3000 or is it 4000?
Hey Ken, for this trip I used it for 3 days without a charge and the battery was still reading 13.1volts. I will be giving it a hounding over summer so check back in and ill give a good review on the battery. I just purchased a 36V 110 amp also for offshore boat, it will be interesting to see how it goes. Cheers mate

Don’t know how we fished before 😂
Yes still happy with it. The split pin on prop shaft corroded but other than that it’s been faultless 👍🏻
Where did you get that metal mounting plate that's under the quick connect?
Hey James, it’s a 10mm ally plate. The place I purchased motor in Cairns (Pete from spear and tackle) has them cut up to suit quick release puk.
The plate is 320Lx175W 👍🏻
Can it be installed on a 3.20 meter Caperlan tender with some type of support? Thank you.
