My power has been out for 8 hours, no internet, no anything. I get back online only to be greeted by this version of Live Forever that is truly cosmic and otherworldly! What an amazing job getting those missing tapes remastered.
Great to see they kept these tapes and are sharing them with the world. BUT you can see why Alan McGee kept saying ‘nope that’s not it’s every time they played him the tapes. Owen was a genius to being it all together,

Alot of people here thinking the vocals are 'raw'. Not trying to hate, but thats completely false. In fact, I'm willing to bet all of these releases still aren't the original masters of the songs, but actually remixes using the original Monnow Valley multitrack stems. As a musician and intermediate producer, I can clearly hear the compression and reverb on his voice, however what I will say is, there is likely no pitch correction. Liam's pitch from 94-97 was nearly perfect almost every gig, so imagine how well he sang in a studio environment. Regardless, I understand why people seem to be confused thinking these are raw vocals, it doesn't help that these mixes are so stripped back in terms of instrumental as well, which makes the vocals seem alot more prominent, that and the fact that they're new and refreshing compared to the DM studio recordings

I for one think every live forever vocal take before the final release is superior to the final version. Just my preference. But the demo version is still the version I wish they had stuck with, pure magic
Very clean and psychedelic this recording , im no beatles fan but you can hear so much influence from them on this . Feels like youre in the waiting lobby at heavens gate.
This song resonated the most to me on the way home from the morning after. Walking past front gardens in the early light with a warm can of beer in hand, the world was so clear then.
