‘Columbia’ was one of the first Oasis songs to be written and was originally released as a now legendary white label 12”. This new release, mixed for the first time by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho, weighs in at an epic 7 minutes 18 seconds, dwarfing the 6 minutes of the album original.

There is no other band that’s caused a stir in music than oasis. Some people loved them and others were wrong to hate them, cos they just didn’t understand the raw vocals and instruments of the band. Nothing was faked. Just great song writing and pure rock and roll. What a time to be alive

And who knew co-written by Liam Gallagher and Chris Griffiths of the Real People - but a great version, Liam's falsetto and Noel's guitar playing, with (I assume) Tony's drumming - amazing.

Personally I found him better than Alan white. I found Alan used the same type of drum fill which is used on the swamp song. Both good but Tony never deserved the slating he god. I personally prefer him then and still do now

Falsetto isn't really hitting higher notes it's like changing gear to go up hill, hard to explain , he has to shift into falsetto to get to those notes

As someone who is dealing with a dissociative mental disorder, Depersonalisation and other symptoms, I am obliged to take psychotropic drugs, in order to suppress the symptoms to function every day, this song definitely is a song, which describes exactly how do I feel almost every day. And I suppose, those guys, when they wrote the lyrics for this song, didn't know, that such exactly this specific mental disease is existing. Just imagine when exactly the song was written? In the 90's probably? So what does it mean to me? Art,of any type , whether it is music, painting, singing,or whatsoever is = TIMELESS.🥰🥰🤩🤩
Dealing with the same disorder here, Oasis has been practically a salvation for my life since I started listening to their songs when I was 16.

@@martinger.becker1614 well, how should I start? this "issue" was probably caused by a relationship where I was verbally and sometimes physically abused (she used to hit me or shout when angry). One day I had a mental breakdown where I lost consciousness and ended up in the hospital
In similar stressful situations I now have frequent memory loss, I feel like suddenly my body stops and I am unable to move for a few seconds, I strongly believe that I'm in a dream (by the way, a weird thing that I've found is some dreamlike movies like Inception kind oftrigger these symptoms for me) There are friends who often told me that I changed my character too much, even though I didn't realize any of this. Currently the symptoms have decreased considerably, but I suppose it is because I don't have many priorities or responsibilities, but something goes to hell and all that darn thing starts again. By the way, I am currently 22 years old.
I went to psychological therapy a few times and they diagnosed me there, but I am poor and I could not continue going there
