The Live Forever solo is outstanding. It should be up there with the all time greatest guitar solos both for technical ability and the fact that it is just perfect for the song.
ive just recently been getting into the harsher more punkish, earlier oasis songs in the definitely maybe era, and this is one of my favorites by far. it is pure attitude, a pure driving force, and an amazing chorded riff by noel with the intense drums and bass to back it up. this lays the canvas for Liam to sing one hell of a song. please get back together i wanna be able to see you live im only 14.5.

Proper speedball. This song still is as fkn amazing as ever, has aged like fine firey single malt - It's off it's head! Furious squall of urban punk noise - 'you're the outcast' then that guitar sound - is the best ever guitar sound in the band armoury. oasis 4 REAL, absolutely kicking ass.
"You're the uninvited guest that stays 'till the end..." WOW, what a sum-up of my ex in my university days where I regularly listened to my Oasis compilation on my Mini-Disc player. The meaning of this line is so much more clear when looking outside the box. Great and underrated track!!
My favorite track from this album. Full of rock'n'roll energy. And this outro guitar solo, damn... I can't describe how cool and perfect it is. Biblical stuff.
This song epitomizes the attitude of the working class under Thatcher. I’m an American but can totally relate as tracks like this and cigarettes and alcohol sum up the stress and desire to escape the constraints of being middle or lower class, and getting fucked up to escape that stress and try to obtain the happiness that the wealthy experience.

My favourite track on Definitely Maybe. This and Columbia.

I actually prefer live versions of Columbia. Proper belter but the album version compared to say the Live at Barrowlands version doesn't do it for me!
Hello, friend.
For years, I thought he sang, "but you don't care because you live in France" 😂
A criminally under-rated track.
Shut the fuck up stop saying that on every fucking Oasis song so you can look cooler. Oasis is the fucking opposite of under rated.

Absolute class oasis. Simple rythem but yet unbelievable lyrics that sweep you off your feet! Another amazing tune get back together oasis 2024!!!!

A great band is known for the music it makes outside of its 'hit' singles. This is the music that puts Oasis in another category.
Wish they would have made more Punk styled songs though
@endmy suffering Fade Away as well
This was gonna be their first single but the drummer couldn't hack it. Thankfully Noel wrote supersonic instead.
