@@carrotonion3919 i think he has stopped singing the falsetto because his voice become hoarse so he can’t hits the high notes anymore. Thats why noel have to sang the falsetto part

That’s me there in the corner at 3.34 with a mess of blonde hair. It was a good day, a Sunday. Oasis, then Pulp later, after that; Radiohead, and then Blur at the end. All on the same stage. Scorcher too. Even though the 2nd single (Shakermaker) had only just come out, everyone around us was shouting out for B sides like Take Me Away and Spaceman. They played neither! One bit they cut out of the broadcast (originally on Channel 4) was Noel early in the set teasing the intro from Cigarettes And Alcohol then stopping after a few seconds! They played it in full later in the set, but even in those early days pre-release it was a fan favourite and the riff was becoming ‘iconic’ as they say. Great to see it again.

I wasn't even born in 94 and I have only came across Oasis recently but most of their stuff makes me feel very nostalgic for some reason
you must have heard them on the radio and somewhere else and just forgot. music triggers memories for me
Imagine how us Gen Xers feel;) so nostalgic. I attended concerts every weekend. I was a zine critic for extra bits of money as a teenager and they gave me free tickets to shows to write up reviews, but in the early 90s performances were really cheap anyway. Undoubtedly it was a superb time to be young and a lover of music.

I was there. I'm pretty sure this was just before they released their first album. Epic performance. They were never the same after they sacked the drummer though.

Proper rock band. As soon as I landed in the UK in the summer of 1995, and heard their sound, I was hooked. The backdrop to four fantastic years in London and Oxford. Cool Britannia.
Young Oasis was raw AF. One of the greatest band debuts ever.

As a guitar player, I'd kill for Noel's tone here. I love how crunchy it sounds
I'm a guitarist too, for the early Oasis days, you want to go for high volume and low gain, and your guitar should be on the treble pickup switch.
@@roboticoperatingbuddy5443 I already have my amp already set to a low gain and a high volume and I exclusively use the bridge pickup. I even threw some delay in there because I know Noel loves himself some delay. This tone is just so crunchy, and I've been trying to get as close to it as possible for weeks

It’s good tone but I think he needed to be a bit higher in the mix as he gets drown out by the rest of the band

Liam was a good vocalist/ dramatic frontman for a short period. He was/is more attractive but Even then, Noel wrote the lyrics and songs. Oasis could've sounded like oasis without Liam but not without Noel.

Was born in 82 and saw them in 97 on "be here now" tour in Oberhausen, germany. Ticket was 25 euros and i was 15..first love first beer, what a time to be alive.. Late 90' and early 00' give me chills.. Best time
You were lucky you caught them while they were still the real Oasis. i.e. with Bonehead + Guigsy.

Heard my first oasis song in 8th grade, been hooked ever since in the late 90's! Spent many days with my friends doing things we shouldn't have been doing and enjoying life together listening to this band!

Liam said they didn't have any money yet and his clothes are from marks n' spencer but after that it was more like gucci. They were still "small" at that point.

I saw them the night before that at a secret gig in Bath, it was Alan White’s first show and they debuted all the new songs that they played again the night after at Glasto

I wasn’t at Glastonbury, but I was at the Knebworth concert in 1996. Used to listen to Oasis, Blur, The Farm, Happy Mondays and EMF on a mix tape I made in the car on repeat… good times…
