Cool video I've been to KL a few times and seen all the places mentioned in the video like KLCC Park, Petronas Towers, Perdana Botanical Gardens, Batu Caves, China Town, Eco Forest Park, Sultan Abdul Samad Building, River of Life with Masjid Jamek, Bukit Bitang (Jalan Alor) but there are other places to see like KL Bird Park, National Monument, Istana Negara, KL National Mosque, Little India, KL City Gallery, KLCC Aquarium, Islamic Arts Museum, Wilayah Mosque, Thien Hou Temple, Menara Tower. In addition to that, a half day trip to Putrajaya (between KL and KL Airport) was worth a visit seeing the Presidential Palace, Putra Mosque, Putra Lake, Putra Bridge and Steel Mosque - also it is very green and peaceful walking around there
4:54...the Perdana Botanical garden is actually hauted by night....known to the security guards and homeless people in KL...especially when it's rain at night...
Nice video. The places you visited is definitely an iconic places in Malaysia. Highly recommend to run away from the bustling tourist area to genuine local area where Malaysians enjoy their routine ravaging good food. Fyi, we would drive 2 hrs of Melaka and 4 hrs to Penang just to eat our lunch and go back to KL on the same day.
You guys NEED to go to jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman , near indian mosque.( jalan TAR), where the local go for authentic malaysian street food and shopping on Saturday from 11am till 10am. There is busking in front of sogo, many types of food Cendol, laksa (not the aussie type), keropok lekor, Nasi lemak, nasi kerabu, exotic cut of meat and seafood deep fried and vast selection of pudding like desert (kueh ) , Apam balik.Food are a must. Shopping is available other days from 11-7pm. If its ramadhan, there will be night market from 3pm till late.(even more special food like ayam percik). Cant wait to go Msia again and eat eat eat. Cheers mate.
Well done! Sorry about the heat guys. Also, I think Nick may have pushed the boundaries of Malaysian cuisine. Pretty sure he is the first or one of the first to ever eat stir fried bitter gourd with nasi lemak.
Haha I love pushing boundaries but yeah I thought maybe I did the wrong thing while ordering. Next time I will ask the person for the traditional version. Thanks heaps for your comment :-)
You guys should go to River of Life at night... and Birds Park near Perdana Botanical Garden. We have plenty of mall... in fact I live at the residence attached to the mall. Hope you guys had a great time in KL and we always welcome you back ☺️
Malaysian food trucks are quite pricey, unlike in western countries. idk why, maybe because it's a new culture here, and they tend to appear hipster to attract the youngsters, so the prices are quite expensive
Hello Guy .....drinks Teh Tarik, Roti Canai with egg, Tafu with Gula Melaka, Char Kueh Teow, Sate wow ......delicious. this is more delicious foods you must try.

Been researching for my 2 night layover at KL and this is the best video yet. Very informative. You two have great personalities and presence. Editing seems solid. Was fun to watch. Just wish you spent more time with the food trucks and markets and just a little less with the malls and parks (in my opinion). Drone footage would put this over the top, but this is only my first time watching your channel. Best of luck and happy travels!
You really have made Kuala Lumpur look amazing in this vid! I'm planning a trip to Southeast Asia late this winter/spring, would you say KL should be on my must-see list?
Great compilation of your experience while in Malaysia. Love the editing, somehow i feel like i was watching some tv production programs. Keep it up guys 😉
don't worry about the hole on the suspension bridge, it's a 2 layered walkway. the wooden looking slabs on top are just decorative, the real support is on the bottom which are metal slats
Your vlog is pretty much great info. really helpful. like watching documentary of travel. The title 'The ultimate travel guide' of course dude. I recommend to all tourist to watch this Vlog before come to KL. Have a nice day and enjoy your life journey.
Fun video, if you want to integrate food and travel you should probably mention the name of the restaurant as well as the prices so that others could try it as well.
wow great video..its look like from TV show...love the food review and the plave u visit..the river of life absoulutely amazing at night..u should visit it at night..its lively
Hi Nick & Rachel, good to see you guys enjoying your travels in Malaysia. You remember we met at QV ? Anyway, enjoy your journey and keep up the awesome videos!
- So slick I thought I was watching Getaway/The Great Outdoors! - "Barbecueness", Aussie slang for 'wok hei' (breath of the wok), Maeve O'Meara nods approvingly :)
1:41 "one of the malls here, right next to KLCC park" I guess that would be KLCC mall then. If you return play a little game, see how many of the branded shops you see actually sell something.
U both shoud have try more malay food there, could be found in every "pasar malam" or night market in certain places, its like a food bazaar it will be held once in a week depend on place..,if u are looking for some cold desert here a the most famous "cendol & abc" and it's easy to find...dont forget to visit Putrajaya too just 20 minutes from KL..
Hi guys, durian has mny types and variation to its taste...some are combination of sweet and bitter, very sweet, etc.. Im not sure which one u had. The best breed called Musang King and yes it is very expensive due because it is a seasonal fruit and limited production as more durian are exported to China as they prefer and OBSESS WITH Malaysian durian compare to others 🙄
I really like ur video very informative it give me idea how to visit malaysia soon... U have singapore tour also? Sorry this is my first time too see ur video...

Living here in KL I can just highly recommend this city :-) also doing some vlogs from Malaysia myself.
the shopping mall culture here is indeed massive. there are plenty malls still under construction
And the malls are all massive haha
When I was around 11, I remember wandering into eco park as my mom worked at kl tower.
It's such a lovely park 😊

Malaysian food trucks are quite pricey, unlike in western countries. idk why, maybe because it's a new culture here, and they tend to appear hipster to attract the youngsters, so the prices are quite expensive
Oh really we found them cheap compared to Australia where every food in food trucks cost at least 50 to 60 riggits.
Great video! The food looks amazing in KL!
