I have really liked a lot of the projects you have done, Luie. This one, however, is without a doubt my favorite. The figure in that cherry is just absolutely stunning! Well done, my friend. You asked about an upgrade kit for your bandsaw. I upgraded mine about 2 1/2 years ago. I got the upgrade kit from Carter products. I noticed you seem to be running your lathe from a pendent. Did you put a different motor on the lathe. It appears to have variable speed as well. If so I am guessing DC motor or perhaps a VFD, Just curious I love that type of stuff.

G'Day Luie. Love the bowl and the strip of Walnut. ??? YOU USE WALNUT AS DOOR JAMS ??? Damn I'm in the wrong country. As Gary from "ThePapa1947" mentioned about the variable speed. I'm in the process of adding some electronics to my lathe to hopefully do just that. Any chance of doing a quick video on that, or your thoughts? Rob

      Hello,
The controller that I am using is from harbor freight. It is a "router controller "
It helps but it doesn't slow it down to zero. I'm sure there are much better ways of doing this but this was easy way.
