Glenn ….. you guys barely got the fishing gear put up and you’re on the lathe 😂. I really like the grind you put on that roughing gouge …… very versatile! Thanks for sharing 🤠🇨🇱
Welcome to the channel. The videos are done for entertainment purposes, to show the cuts and tool presentation etc. These don't seem to crack. If you were worried about turning wet wood, you could remove moisture by putting it in a microwave a few seconds at a time, then turn it. The logs have been sealed when first cut.
If it’s a hobby for you, and you can use FREE wood, don’t charge much. $5-$8 per piece. Once you start purchasing wood and/or using exotic wood I like to charge enough to cover the cost of the supplies.
Glenn & Liza a smashing wee turn of a bud vase, these ribbons looked really smart flying of there.
Thanks Alan. Glad you liked it.
Nicely done Glenn!!!
Thanks
Cracking little turn there mate. Really like the knot detail/defect in it think it adds nice bit character to it 🏴👍
Thanks Michael. I agree. I like the knot too.

Lol. Sure is Randy.
Love these little vases. Do you ever turn flowers to put in them?
Welcome to the channel. Thanks for watching. Yes I have in another video. Check it out ruclips.net/video/vhm10wZSIZg/видео.html
Glen what angle do us your rough gauge ? Was awesome to watch, thanks for sharing 😊
50 degrees. Thanks for watching.
Looks to have a lot of moisture in it, won't it crack or warp at some point?

How do you prevent cracks while turning whet wood?
Welcome to the channel. Don't let it dry too quick.
That looks great. What sort of a grind do you have on that roughing gouge is that?
50 degrees
Are you using the 50/50 mix for the finish?
Yes Jon.
What does one of the vases go for? I have a hard time figuring a price for miscellaneous turnings.
