    You inspired me to make one of those from a piece of apple tree branch. It turned out incredible ( by my standards ) i used your recipe for sanding sealer to finish it. Thanks for the videos..😊

    Hi both, I'm really glad I can comment again (ignore the idiots). I'm glad you showed the Temu drill as I've just bought them, I've been tempted by the parting tool.
    Great video, as always. Take care.

      Nice one. Not sure yet, but they know they'll just be blocked. It's good to try your own mixes. Different styles suit different people and sanding techniques. I wanted something to use at speed. Think I've cracked it for the way I turn.

      @@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 yea looks like you have mate certianly looks great. Fingers crossed they have disappeared hope you guys are good. Looking forward seeing some more 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍

    Mr. Glenn, Good Day! Could I inquire about your respirator/helmet? Make, model and where you got it? I wear glasses too and am having a time finding comfortable easy on, easy off gear. Love your videos and have learned a lot watching. Hi Liza!!

    Just found your channel and am learning a lot. Would like to make some rotary sanders that I saw in another of your videos but can't find the sanding head that you used on Temu. You mentioned that they come in a package of 2. What should I search for? I was also intrigued by the sanding attachment to your right angle drill that seems to replace the chuck. Where did you find that?

      @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308  Месяц назад +1

      I just put in sanding pads and they come up for me. The drill, I bought the keyed chuck version, not the keyless. I haven't changed anything. I just fit my sanding arbour in it. Those I make. There's a video on that. ruclips.net/video/mka2lSmMqv8/видео.html

    Very much enjoy your videos! Those bottles you use for the shellac - are they specifically compatible with alcohol? I've used some plastic water bottles and the alcohol ate through the plastic.

    • @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308
      @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308  18 дней назад +1

      Yes they are. It's what the alcohol came in. Never had a problem. Water bottles are not made for holding alcohol.

    HI Glenn and Liza, What kind of cloth do you use for applying your finish? I've tried paper towels, cotton socks, cotton bed sheets and I get streaks in the finish putting it on at a fast speed like you do. If I do it slow and put it on following the grain, it does better.

    • @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308
      @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308  28 дней назад

      Hi Dale. If it's streaking, then your shellac is setting too quick so you might need to dilute the shellac a bit more or add more oil. The oil helps it to move around. I use a piece of bath towel.

    I just stumbled onto your video. Excellent video. I just inherited a bunch of tools and round wood/acrylic solid tubes. Was wondering what to do then bam! Your video turned up. I’m still new to turning. I can make pens and one type of bottle stopper. So, I’m setting up some construction grade timber to learn how to turn bowls. I have a mini lathe. Saving for a midi. My question to you is how tall are your finished vases. I’m from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I know how to do the conversion from metric to standard. BTW: Love your proper English!
