You are probably correct that some people would believe that David Blaine is a reincarnation of Jesus. That would really be unfortunate to believe since Jesus is David's Creator and Savior. Respectfully, that's interesting to bring up Jesus and David in a comparison. Everything done by Jesus was done to demonstrate divinity, and miracles are a demonstration that He and God were associated. I see some people may think Jesus did miracles and lived a good life forgetting that Jesus raised from the dead, walked out of a tomb, ate with people, appeared to many after death. Then there were so many miracles performed by people in His Name. To a religious person, Jesus seems like a magician, performing miracles to make people's situation better. Sometimes that's all that people want, Jesus as a magician, just performing miracles and making them feel all warm inside, never wanting a relationship with Him nor relief from judgement for sins, nor the assurance of an eternal life with God. But, Jesus is satisfying and meaningful and also there is a promise that faith in Jesus grants any person eternal life. In contrast, any miracle performance by a magician is just entertainment, and makes things 'seem' to be something they are not. David cares about people, that's obvious from how he treats people, he enjoys bringing joy to people. That joy is temporary while that lasts for a couple of minutes. Compare the joy that David brings with the joy that comes from Jesus, which lasts to time that we cannot even imagine. oh, how you could know Jesus forever and know that joy forever.
