I've owned my T1500/T1550 for two years now, along with 3 sets of Hyper wheels. This is probably the only frameset I can't ever see myself selling despite owning both the latest Giant Propel and Allez Sprint, respectively. Winspace during the pandemic did a fantastic job marketing their products to the Western world which subsequently gave the brand considerably more street credibility than all their other Chinese competitors. I think about how the S-Works Venge is still revered after all these years. It's unapologetically aero. So the fact the T1500 has also stood the test of time proves that the demand for full aero is still well and alive. The rear triangle is indeed pushing the limits of stiffness/comfort. A topic I've discussed myself. It's little nuances like these which highlight the design benefits of big brands. But at $3200 for the frameset, handlebars, and wheel...it's a fantastic value for the amateur crit racer or a weekend warrior looking to be competitive in their local fast group ride.
Patrick your comments have had me thinking about getting a red one. However I think I will wait for their model that will rule them all. Saw RUclips gcperformance badly trying to hide one
I just ordered the same winspace frame after Christmas. Was a crazy deal. $905 shipped plus bars ($290 value) for free. I couldn’t pass it up. I’m excited.
I purchased the Winspace SLC 2.0 with the 9Velo wheelset that have carbon spokes. 9Velo sends an extra 3 spokes with the wheelset. Hambini reviewed Winspace and 9Velo and had good things to say. I see he commented in traditional Hambini fashion. 😄 I haven't had it on the road as yet because of weather conditions. Looking forward to your long term review.
Hey Jeff I realize this video was posted sometime ago, but I wanted to comment…. I crashed my original T1500 in a crit And decided to get the new 1550. I contacted winspace post crash, and they actually gave me a little discount to re-up on their new frame Which I thought was nice … Since they don’t have an official crash replacement policy. My little nitpick with the frame I wish they offered a zero setback seat post other than that I love the bike! I have the D45s for wheels, Those are great too! Love your videos
Im glad you are highlighting winspace, ive bought 3 sets of wheels and they have all been great. If you are worried about the carbon spokes, i hit another rider that drifted into me over a two way lane and our combine speed wheel on wheel was 50-60km/hr. Two spokes popped off, none broke, wheel had a small crack, and was still round. I broke my collar bone. These wheels are so strong! If you want, ask winspace to send extra spokes, they have good service and im sure wouldn't charge you much.
I love my Winspace slc, super stiff, nimble and responsive. When I peg it, the bike launches. Jumping for a wheel going past is so easy, the bike / Hyper wheels accelerate so fast. I took off the once piece bars as they are quite heavy, swapped to a light bar and stem and it all works perfect. No issues at all and Lun provides spare spokes in the box. I've also asked for spare parts and they ship same day. Customer service is impressive, you can live chat them business hours and resolve issues there and then. The person who speaks to you has the power to authorise action. A great bike, great company, can't go wrong.
I love the slc looks, they are classic. When i'm day dreaming about a new bike, the aethos comes a lot in my mind, but that price, cuts the dream rigth away, the slc, seems to be a crazy good alternative
I've owned a T1500 myself. Sold it because it was one size bigger and I just don't have the legs anymore. This bike is solid, and It's meant to be ridden fast, or in a racing scenario. This isn't for someone who's just getting into cycling. The only bad for the previous T1500 was it supports mechanical groupsets, but they really prefer fully electric for a clean look. The steertube opening just don't fit four cables through it.
Cam Nicholls has a decent number of reviews on Winspace frames going back a couple of years. Ultrasound investigations, thermal imaging, sanding down to bare carbon, inspecting carbon layup, etc.
Like these types of videos. Would like more detail. What are the weights? What do you think of the hubs? Easy to build up? Can it support wider tires? Does it come with Warrenty? Crash replacement? Sorry for all the questions.
I have built mine up and it comes in at 7.4kgs without pedals for a XL (Ultegra Di2). Easy to build but cable routing can be tricky so bar height needs to be precise first time. Not ridden yet but the ceramic bearings are super smooth and spin for ages. Tyres are 28mm Continental GP5000 but could probably stretch to 30mm. There is 2 year warranty I believe on the frame but not sure about crash replacement
Winspace has been known quality for several years now. One of the few chinese brands i trust. I have two of their wheelsets, hyper 38's and the recent hyper D45's. Both have been awesome. And at ~half the cost of other premium brands, they're perfect for rocking in crits if you're on a budget. I would try one of their frames out in a second if I ever needed a new build.
It seems that Winspace focus on US & EU market more. In China, more popular road bike brands are Pardus and SEKA which I can see these bike frequently and the customer feedback is better than Winspace actually🙂
I did this entire season on a self built 1550, lun hyper, with force axs. Do yourself a favor and DON'T use the headset it comes with, its crap and get something like a Chris King or Wolf Tooth
@NorCalCycling - Hi Jeff, the bike looks like an interesting option especially considering the price. I would like to see a longer term evaluation of the bike, say, after racing for a season (Feb/Mar thru Sept/Oct) because of the press fit BB. I've had real issues in the past with the carbon cups deforming due to strain over time. I've found threaded to offer better build quality and durability over time.
Nice video, but I have to be honest, we've already seen similar videos from other RUclipsrs. Can't wait to see future videos about this bike, specially crits and maybe KOM / PB hunting :)
Bought a used T1500 frameset of ebay for my girlfriend. Added Ultegra wheelset and 105 di2 group. She likes it very much. Total costs was about 3000€. Cant get something better for this Price...
Great looking bike, I see the frameset (excluding handlebar) going for 1K usd these days. Would probably go with a different wheelset for that price 9Vello {comes with a DT swiss style ratchet system). There is the option of buying extra carbon spokes (as insurance)
Regarding brand representation. Supposedly, Winspace were going to open their first brick and mortar store somewhere in the U.S, that way turn around times for repairs or replacements could be much much quicker rather than having to ship everything all the way to china everytime. I heard this news earlier in the year or sometime last year in another video on YT and I commented saying that Winspace would lose their unique selling point as they would have to bump their prices up to cover all the new overheads they would have to pay regarding property rental, utility bills and staffing costs rather than being extremely competitively cheap compared to other big mainstream brands. Its going to be tough for them to maintain their current pricing if they do go ahead with their expansion. I got my eye on a set of Lun Routte for my next wheelset. With political relations the way they are with both countries currently. I dont think WInspace is going to open up a store.
As a taller rider (6'4"/193cm), I'm always concerned about the geometry. Is the bike going to be tall/long enough for me? For many of the Chinese frames I've seen, the answer tends to be, "Not quite". Either that or I would end up having to add a LONNG stem to balance the shortness of the top tube. I know their geometry chart says their largest size should fit, but I'm a bit leery. Can you speak to this?

So many good options out there right now without the horrible price tags of major bike brands. I hope this trend continues on and cycling/bike racing can become more accessible to many more riders.

They said it's not damaged (despite there being clear damage) and to not worry about it. This bike is sitting on my trainer, and I still have carbon shaving falling off the front from where the steerer tube is being worn through.
You probably have the “D” shaped steertube. The T1550 has a round steertube and enlarged top headset bearing size to 1 1/2” allowing more room for cables.
Pretty good review but of course there's a lot more to frame quality than feel and external looks of a review-ready single frame No mention of carbon layup, inspection, etc. That said, I don't see the lack of dealer support being bad. Most bike issues one will encounter are with setup and components, or fit. Any LBS is equipped to look at any bike in those regards. A frame issue, voids, breakage or poor BB tolerances, etc. will require return to mfgr and/or a lawyer - no matter who made the frame. And fwiw, judging by what I've seen of their frames and company response to issues presented to them, Cervelo's Pon Holdings certainly don't qualify for a "Good" category on that issue Lol!
In the Chinese domestic market, the most popular bikes are under 2800 dollars. Those are the entry level carbon race bike market and are good enough for most of the riders. I don’t think the Chinese brands give a good price. The western brands high-end bikes are just way too expensive. Definitely not worth the money. You pay most of your money for the brands not the actual bikes.
Why is it always noted that a bike is good for a Chinese bike as if the majority of all high end bike frames are manufactured in China and Taiwan . China and Taiwan can legit manufacture anything as good as or better with as high end materials one could need or want then any other country globally.
Oooo I'm in the market 😊 but why wouldn't you go with a big name brand aluminum and put super light components? Some u can get down to the same weight and more durable.
Aluminum flexes too much to be considered a crit racer at their level, meaning much of the power is absorbed by the frame and not transferred to the wheels down to the pavement. Aluminum makes for a better endurance bike on a budget.
@@gefloiglealuminum frames are actually stiffer in most cases, hence why the Allez Sprint is a killer crit bike. The main benefits of carbon are that it allows for more aerodynamic tube shapes and a lighter frame
Carbon tubes are more likely to be repaired and a lot less expensive than a new frame. Aluminum frames are trash and not repairable if you dent damage the tubes. So the point of durability is a weak argument.
The problem you will have in the long run when owning this bike is knowing deep down you bought Yourself one of the cheapest bikes around. It will frustrate and demoralize you in some ways. If you have the money splurge a bit more on a Scott or lower end Specialized. Buyers remorse is a real thing. Don't think like a typical cyborg white dude no emotion buy, it will haunt you. The most important thing about cycling is Your bike excites you to ride, that little bit will get you out the door faster.
This is not cheap at all and it rides as well as the $10 000 bikes. Best part is choosing my crank and handlebar lengths which I would need to replace in most brand names
The ugly : it’s a shit bike to sprint on. The bike wobbles on its own which is very tricky to handle when you put on 1000+ power. My friend had a sprint crash last Sunday on a race and he was riding this bike.
@@samsabu540 I am no state champ but I am 184 88kg and I can put down some good short bursts of power, on a good day :-) Nevertheless, this wobbling is not the first I hear about (although I had heard that for the T1500).

The child's chairs kind of diminish your appearance of legitimacy 😂
Interesting 🤔
Winspace had a massive exodus of its creators and engineers. Company is not the same anymore
Reasons?
Only one person I know “Joe-China Cycling”. Confusing thou he still on their website riding the mullet frameset😂✌️
Carbon spokes are just marketing, unfortunately. People tend to be attracted towards carbon without putting a second thought and that is bad.
Still waiting for a no name brand Chinese build
If I was buying a new bike i would build my own custom fitted just for me win, win, win....!!
Perfect crit pig, no doubt!
elves avari
The ugly is that logo.
3000 for rigid road bike...
that's cute
NO O O !!!!
Their logo is so ugly, must be a cost saving measure.
Believe it or not, it's a knockoff of the specialized tarmac logo on their topend frames in the mid 2000 era
@@user-sj1hz9qw3e Yeah, I remember it - it was ugly then too, yikes
Oh Winspace again 🫷
Ya can buy a Vitus ZX-1 EVO for the same price………
The brands names and wordmarks need a shitload of help.
Of course you would. You're being sponsored.
bro used the bike for a week lol
Cool looking bike but the Winspace logo is hella cringe and ugly. 'Winspace' sounds like a name that a 10 yr old came out with.
This is admittedly dumb, but I just can’t get past the name.
Nope, I feel you. If I got one I’d put a sick vinyl wrap on it. 😂
i'm with you. i feel like I would have to pull the stickers off.
Winspace need a new logo, preferably a new name too. To me, that font and that name are just super ugly. TO ME.
did winspace suck your pen?
The Ugly? The name Winspace is god awful. What the hell is that anyway?
My friend puts out 1500W in sprints and sats this bike is way more stiffer and stable over his BMC t
Could you please put some data on the rider weights please…
@@kpsig state champ 179cm 68~70kg
But guys don’t get me wrong… this is still one of the best bikes that I have ridden. Very responsive and the money shot - it’s CHEAP
@@samsabu540 I am no state champ but I am 184 88kg and I can put down some good short bursts of power, on a good day :-)
Nevertheless, this wobbling is not the first I hear about (although I had heard that for the T1500).
If this is a CCP Chinese product it's a hard pass. No apologies for refusing to fund tyranny.
Curious, on what phone or computer did you write that message of yours?
@@alphamrc309 LGK40. No, I don't know where it was made or the circumstances of the workers. Point taken but I try to buy responsibly especially when it's on discretionary items. I'll save and pay more for an American( Mexico, Canada or U.S.A.) made product. Japanese or European goods are also on the list.
This is nearly impossible as an absolute. I should have know the recently ordered hoodie was CCP China made. Indonesia was my guess.
Fault me as a hypocrite if you will but I think we should all make a good faith effort to disengage from China until certain freedoms are respected. I'll go without that bicycle or guitar rather than support imprisonment of a million Uighar Muslims.
Cheap for you who works for NASA!
