... Finally loads all bricks, my head: "he is going to forget the tie down part"... 10secs later Matt: " why did you fall out!" Me: laughing hysterically.
As someone who has moved pallets of bricks, aside from the shrinkwrap, generally you do not need to tie them down on a light truck like that. You only do that on heavy trucks when you are stacking them. I mean a pallet weighs somewhere between 1.5 and 2 metric tons depending on the brick type.
as someone who was certified, a lot of video games (even simulator games) somehow manage to get forklifts... wrong. I can't really explain it, but they just don't control how you would expect them to coming from the perspective of someone who has actually driven them. That being said, yeah Matt needs some work lol
@@Taolan8472 same. I was certified a while back. It's not that hard to work a forklift a sling as you respect the vehicle and take your time. They're never done right in games. Plus no one ever tips the forks forward to pickup their load.
@@Taolan8472 i've noticed long ago: many race games are made by developers who has never driven a car. Shooters are made by developers who never shot a gun, space sims are made by developers who never been in space, etc.
As someone who has driven a forklift, I can confirm the Forklift-nado is the proper way of flipping pallets that are the wrong way up. Also if the pallet falls off the forks, it simply means you weren't accelerating forwards fast enough.
Hey Matt, That “brick foundation” must be a basement with the ground floor concrete already on top of it. We build things like that here in Germany. Peace love and German engineering
On one hand, punching someone and losing his job at top gear allowed them to work with Amazon and make The Grand Tour. But it really was a shame they never got to say goodbye to their show. No matter what they say top gear isn’t top gear without Jeremy, Richard and James

I can’t wait for you to play enjiner soon (yes that’s what it’s called) I’m really looking forward to you building the worlds strongest shape as well as the bridge review as well
They should write it into the system requirements. Maybe even display a warning/confirmation box before buying the game. Also, when did forklifts became single use items? It is such a waste of materials.
Their outfit doesn't much matter because their ego and useless college degree that let's them come up with the stupidest designs that never work right anywhere except in their own head gives them away. As someone who has dealt with what an "engineer" came up with I can safely say they've never once actually worked a day in their life because they wouldn't come up with those dumbass designs if they were the one who actually had to work out how to make it work at the end of the day
Before Matt or someone else fixes it, the original (mistake) (probably) (maybe not) title of this video was "Is construction is harder than engineering?". LMAO

You can put those pipes straight into the ground, those are PVC pipes, you usually just sorround them in sand so they don't get damaged by your filling material. Imagine having to build a foundation everytime for some 20cm thick PVC pipe.
When I worked in a kitchen we called the bucket where you throw broken glass into, well... I think your mom already said the name of the bucket out loud many years ago!
there's this new game I think would be up ur alley, it's called "enjenir" even if you don't play it I appreciate the consideration of my recommendation, love your stuff

you should check out “the enjinir” when it releases, looks like a mix of poly bridge and human fall flat
Cool, is it Engineer spelled intentionally in the wrong way?

Wow, this is the most realistic intern sim I've ever seen. Absolute disasters on the first days of the job. 10/10.
5:44 Yeah, I love the "Matt with time story" section of the video, and it was about a young matt time? Beautiful
Yes.
It's also more fun!

That bucket story reminds me of my first word. Apparently, my first word was backhoe. I was REEEAAALLLYYY into heavy machinery at that age
All that I have learned from this is that Matt is not forklift certified.
They should write it into the system requirements. Maybe even display a warning/confirmation box before buying the game.
Also, when did forklifts became single use items? It is such a waste of materials.
As a forklift operator myself, Matt has some of the best technique I've ever seen.
I have a rather important question what do engineers wear to let other engineers know they are engineers? Is it the dad outfit?
Not too sure myself as well, but it would be a bit intresting to see
I think its mostly the colour of the hard hats, they have specific colours for specific persons
I think its The Architect Tag Name.

Yes Matt, brick foundations are a thing (if you were serious). We have them here in the U.S as well as fieldstone foundations too.
