Two Fairlight C.M.I. IIx on stage. The Fairlight was the main instrument used by The Art Of Noise. The band used to tour with eight of them on stage

Art of Noise are magnificent - this is so beautiful and unique.
People won't understand the power this song had back in the day , in the clubs the last call song to slow dance was this , radio stations in south Florida Y100 had the slow yams after midnight, more females got pregnant to this song than any other song. Good memories.

The first time I heard this beauty I was mesmerized. The ver first "US FESTIVAL" in California early 80's
Funny story: In late 1980's Southern California, I loved Beat Box and Who is Affraid Of the Art and my mother loved soft hits. Her radio station played the back side of this Album, and it was the only one advertising the Art of Noise concert at the Pacific Ampetheater...maybe 1988 or 89? She asked if I wanted to go...we went. A good part of the audience was old ladies from the soft hits crowd too....they left as soon as the opnning act started! I will never forget the look on one dear ladies face, as she looked at a leather clad punkers foot tall purple mohawk in the row in front of her! TOTAL SHOCK!
WHAT A SHOW! Most of us had no idea how AON made their sounds from singers voices back then, no videos yet.....what an amazing thing it was to see.

I remember being about nine I was inside the sharper image with my mother and she heard the song playing and she asked Who is this? What album is this? Where do I find? I think we went to the amphitheater too right outside of Las Vegas I’m 44 now and this whole album 💿 reminds of my mom she was a musical and theater major in college unlv and would play this while cleaning or doing yard work on weekends oh she loved the look of the band 😂
As silly as this may sound, I really liked the 2 stage props, the big white o/0/O/O things added to the performance.
