- A video of a live performance of my Kool & the Gang favorite, “Summer Madness” edited and dubbed with an extended remix of the track from the album, “Light of Worlds” (1974).
In 1983, a ten year old boy is playing his dad's Kool & The Gang records and he discovers this masterpiece. Memories!
This song was freshly made 50 years ago (1974) and it's still fresh 50 years later (2024)

Back in the 70’s, I was stationed in Southeast Asia, U-Tapao Royal Thai Naval Air Base.
I was assigned to the Secuitry Police Squadron, had a great private trailer for my quarters.
I bought Kool & The Gang album which had Summer Madness for side 1. I would play that song every morning when I would get up and get ready for duty. Will never forget this absolutely beautiful heart piercing classic.

Idk why but this song makes you just think calm vibes and just wanna cry.
Its the Nostalgia....it immediately takes you back to the first few times you remember hearing this song which was more than likely decades ago......and you start to think about all the loved ones who were here at that time...just ENJOYING LIFE...the simple times. Those dearly departed who are no longer with us, but this song just puts you in a nostalgic trance is the best I can describe it. I always feel the same way.
