Adina I also grew up SDA. B’H, I left the church and converted to Orthodox Judaism. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. You and Nissim are so special. Forgive me I’m not great with my words and often have trouble expressing myself but lHy, I want you to know it was nice seeing the person that hold this family with the help of Hashem.
Adina, thank you for being so brave and coming on the podcast! Both you and Nissim are so inspiring and I gained so much just from watching this podcast! Thank you Tzipora for another incredible podcast!
Wow! This is such a beuatiful and inspiring story. Thank you Adina and Nissim for opening up your lives and sharing your amazing journey with us. To see your steength and commitment to each other and to Hashem is really breathtaking.
Wow wow wow! What an amazing couple! you see how much they truly, love, care, and respect one another. their sweet family lives in our community and I cant wait to tell them how much i enjoyed this podcast in person! thanks Tzipora for doing a wonderful job as always and thanks to MM for this amazing platform!
Unbelievable story! What a beautiful couple. I love that the shy, gentle and quiet girl ends up with the outgoing, popular guy. such respect for each other! Wishing you all the success and happiness in life.
I am so ecstatic for this for this episode! They live in our community here in Israel and are such sweet people! Their kids are absolutely adorable and I just love their entire family. So excited to hear their story❤
We hear a lot about well established Haredi Ashkenazi communities not accepting anyone different, not even Sephardim. Are you a hippy-dippy, chozer l'teshuva Breslov community?
Fascinating interview. Beautiful (in the full sense of the word) people. The reminder that such connection to H is possible (actually, it's the goal) is so comforting. Thanks for the inspiration.
Another over the top podcast, Tzipora!!!!! Adina and Nissim you are an inspirational, insightful and incredible couple! Thank you for sharing your fantastic story!!!!
B"H I had the privilege to meet the Rabbi & Rabbanit Black and they are truly extraordinary people! A special thank you for reminding us what it means to have emunah, to daven to Hashem and just embrace kedusha and emet whole-heartedly. The Blacks are on another madregah...and Be'ezrat Hashem, through their story and the inspiration they've provided...we can all find our way there. Hashem should shower them with endless bracha.
@@stephenfisher3721 That's a really good question. I can say that in the Orthodox community in Israel. A lot of adults will use the title Rabbi when addressing their neighbor. And usually he is part of a kolel. And has actually earned that title. I personally feel Nissim has earned the title Rabbi just based on how he works so hard on representing Hashem and working on always making a kiddish Hashem. I'm sure he even asked a Sheila if he should come on this podcast as a couple. But we all know that their story will 100% bring us closer to Hashem. And was worth it. N.B. I hope my explanation helped you. And I don't know if he has smeacha.
@@yitzchakenglard2514 I know that Yiddish speaking Jews of my grandfather's generation would sometimes use Reb in the same way as Mister and it did not mean Rov. But Rebbetzin was the wife of a Rov, not a Reb. I have never heard of addressing members of a kollel as Rabbi and Rabbanit. Are these English speakers? Are they saying "Rabbi"?
This was so beautiful to listen to. So much respect for each other and what a story of change and growth. My parents are Baal Teshuva and I struggled with Judaism growing up- now I’m finding my way back too. This was so inspirational and a good reminder that we need to always be moving in the right direction.
Did your parents become observant before or after you were born? If after, I can see how the change was traumatic for you. Can't go with your friends anymore to movies on Friday night or play soccer Saturday morning. Orthodox Judaism is very difficult, restricted, weird, and bizarre when coming from the secular world.
I was very young when they began becoming religious and it was slow at first. I didn’t realize I was “different” until they sent me to yeshiva, and I was the only one with an English name or with non religious relatives and grandparents. I never felt like I “fit in”. Always felt like an outsider. I’ve never been good at following rules and so as a teenager walked away 😞 thank G-d through Chabad I am finding the beauty in Judaism.
Kol hakavod! Adina, I always say behind a great man is his unbelievable wife. Nissim wow! Thank you, Baruch Hashem you always inspired every one around you. Miss those days when you where on rechove Strauss. And thank you for showing us how much we need to thank your wife for being there for you. Tzipora this was so POWERFUL! Looks like you belong here in Eretz Yisroel/ Yerushalim. Hope you enjoy your stay. Hopefully next time it can be permanent. May you be zoche to follow the Black family and build your home in the hollyland! Until next week peace from Yerushalim. Or for Nissim, Eretz Yisroel/ RBS 😊 and a Happy happy Hanukkah! N.B. the last day of Hanukkah is a special time for tefelot and to give tzedakah.
Absolutely gorgeous dialogue between the three of you. Felt Hashem throughout the entirety of your time together -through you all. Such a deeply touching tender listen. Baruch Hashem ❤❤
Another amazing episode!!! thank you for this!!! This episode resonated so much. I grew up as an SDA too and got to my early-teens and just had a hunger for the truth. I always felt I was different and didn’t realise what a protection and a blessing it was to me. So beautiful to hear their story ❤
Woah! I've already heard Nissim tell his story previously and was curious about his eishes chayil in the background. Well, kudos to tzipora for bringing her out of hiding! What a gem of a woman! I could listen to them for hours more...
What a beautiful couple, both going in the same direction spiritually. Thanks for this episode. And special thanks to Adina for showing up! Her name fits her so well !!!
Nissim and Adina 's journey has merited us with so much wisdom and inspiration . I so appreciate Tzippora your efforts to bring special ppl like Nissim and Adina to help us get answers for our own journeys. I actually feel excited to start my day putting into practice what aIve learned. Id love to consult with them on one very specific question in my life . Thank you again

Happy to hear and see our holy brothers Aishit Chayil share their blessed story together 😊feels meaningful to have shared in their journey the BHS parts bH 😊

Wow Adina is such an inspiration....as a married FFB girl I did not think a lot about actively davening for my husband...you really both inspired me in my connection to Hashem
First off I love you both this is truly inspiring I have a question below but I wanted to say I know many Jews including orthodox celebrate Thanksgiving because it’s not religious but it’s a time to be thankful and get together. Is that uncommon is it just Jews I know ? I have another question I was curious when people convert how does one look at JC differently how someone reframe him. I’m asking out curiousness, because I know many who’ve come out of the Christian faith and went to Judaism and I know those who when they left Christianity they left with religious trauma and I’m curious how one navigates that, because reframing things differently can be scary.
