Regarding encouraging children to engage in Jewish practices, I've found that a gentle approach works best. As a Sefardi I'm delighted that my kids enjoy attending shul, they can even lead as chazzan for פסוקי דזמרה, They also get so excited about the Makom of the week, which keeps them motivated and engaged. However, when it comes to other practices like reciting Tehillim, I've learned that explicit instructions can be counterproductive. Instead, I share inspiring stories and anecdotes about the value of reciting Tehillim. Amazingly, this approach has proven effective! Within 2-3 weeks, my children begin to adopt the practice on their own. This method fosters a sense of autonomy and encourages a genuine connection to our heritage.

I respectfully disagree with the MDY Rabbi . The decision to ( commit to ) learn with a program / plan that is not Daf Yomi is not automatically “ yetzer hara “ driven. There are ( there can be and are ) good , compelling positive reasons for an individual to choose a different ‘Yomi’ learning program. { eg ‘amud yomi- which many now do ..} . After all - “ it’s not about the Daf ..”. ;-)
True, but people have chalishus hadaas, when they realise that they've learned so much but can't remember anything. Remembering and being able to repeat adds to the sweetness and enjoyment of learning.
כל הכבוד! כי הם חיינו ואורך ימינו ובהם נהגה יומם ולילה! Learning TORAH daily IS the source of LIFE itself

Turn stress into Eustress by processing it mentally as excitement.

All of these are wrong! Who said u have to remember ? U have to learn not remember.

One transgresses a Torah prohibition when forgetting one's own learning.
