    When I was stationed in Pensacola, FL, we had a Calamondin tree in our backyard. I used to make this fresh when they were in season. I also used it in cooking, especially pork dishes, and I even got used to eating them straight like an orange. They are really good.

      Sometimes i use iced tea as alternative for sugar for my coffee. Taste the same as coffee but with a slight jolt of iced tea flavour. I like it.

    Here in philippines, calamansi is like an all around fruit. You can use it to marinate meats, you make it juice, you can top it with different dishes, you can mix it for dipping sauce or you can mix it with gin or any alchoholic drink. Everyone herr loves calamansi especially kids

      It really needs promotion. Filipinos in the Philippines and abroad have little idea on what Philippine cuisine really is. No wonder Filipinos can't defend their cuisine to bashers since even Filipinos themselves have little idea about what to defend in the first place.

    Sometimes if we drink tequila and there’s no lemon available on the grocery, we ise calamansi as a replacement.
    The concentrated calamsi can be used as a chaser.

    😂 😂 😂 There's a lot of calamasi here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 hahaha. We mix that usually for soy sauce. For marinated chicken, porkchop 🥩 and beef. And more. Sometimes juice. When we get 🤮 hehehe. I love your videos. I'm a new subscriber. More videos about 🇵🇭 culture and food please.

      Here in UAE they're used to using lemons... I have planted calamansi and it grew so tall and bear fruits like it doesn't finish everyday 😅 now everyone here in my boss' home like to use calamansi instead of lemons 😉

    Here in the Philippines, calamansi used as condiments such as dipping sauce with soy sauce or fish sauce

    Squeeze one or two calamansi to a cup of iced tea...
    If you have cold, drink warm water with calamnsi juice...
    For condiments, squeeze a calamnsi to soysauce (add chili it u want spicy) best for meat, fried/steamed fish, siomai etc :)

    Calamansi is definitely paired with alcohol here in the Philippines but mostly with tequila. Locally we call it (in Cebuano) as "Lemonsito."

    you should try the real fruit thou...and yes you can mix it on alcohol like gin...we drink it when we have a flu...

      @SoutheastRice 96 Actually Ubi In indonesia is generally refer to Sweet potato & Cassava, but when you say Ubi most would refer to sweet potato (yellow, orange, purple), cassava is "singkong" for us.

      Cherrilyn Jane Sace i believe so too. I know most of commercially bottled calamansi juice were mixed with honey.....and it's normally being prepared with sugar or calamansi 😊

    Ha..ha. Definitely people's reaction will vary because sweetness (taste) is relative. And I will agree with them, calamansi juice is better tasting than lemonade (or maybe I am just biased since I am a Filipino).

    To answer that dude's question whether people mix alcohol with calamansi, the answer is yes :) the town i used to live in, we had this drink called 147 which is gin, sprite and calamansi :) some people go hard core and just squeeze fresh calamnsi on their gin.. GOD bless you brotha, awesome content you got ;)

    I have a calamansi tree here in my backyard and I just pick 'em whenever I need them for cooking, as a dip and as a refreshment. #calamansifan here :)
