- Опубликовано: 24 май 2024
- We got some awesome, authentic pork rib adobo and gave it to total strangers from around the world in NYC’s Times Square. It was their first time trying and they went totally crazy over it!
This is one of many videos in my Filipino food series, which you guys can check out more of by looking at my Filipino playlist here: • Philippines
Also, this video is not sponsored by the restaurant that made the adobo but it's definitely worth checking out Maharlika if you're in Manhattan's East Village!

True

When I was little my best friend was Filipino and her mom would make chicken adobo all the time! Her mom taught me how to make it and I have been making it now myself for over 20 years and even though it isn't a traditional "comfort food" for a white American, this is MY absolute comfort food!!

Fact: During World War II Filipinos used to cook adobo and store it in earthen jars. Well they store it and consume it slowly for a year or 2 and it does not spoil nor bacteria builds up, maybe the vinegar and the oil preserves it. Taste good even if its a year or two :)
It's the best adobo I have tasted.
Its the vinegar
Shut up Hahha nang uuto ka nanaman
Pag walang halong tubig at oreserve lang sa sariling taba aabot pa sa susunod na fiesta, kaso titigas na.

This man deserved a million subs from Filipinos out there
He will get it and so does the other vloggers who make a topic about the PH. Make a topic about the PH and every filipino will flock on that video, which means more views more cash money for these vloggers.
Yeah, definitely ❤
As a Filipino I'm happy to see their reactions hehe!! We really love adobo especially when it's hot and spicy!
It sounds really good when I hear strangers telling that Filipino dishes and desserts are really good. Makes me a proud Filipino🇵🇭💖🎉

3:42 a very cultured couple. Now I love these two ahha. She’s had lumpia?! He’s had adobo?! and mentions pancit? Both very cultured love it haha
Adobo pancit and lumpia are the holy trinity of Filipino foods.
The "adobo" is from the Spanish word meaning to marinate which is one of the most ingredients of that food .They marinate it in vinegar ,soy sauce and some spices and the special thing is this doesn't get spoiled easily even you eat it after a couple of days .
Yes the term is Spanish (from the word Adobar) and called it such after observing the cooking methods of the locals. but the methods were indigenous to the Philippines. Just to clear out the confusions ☺
he's not been here in phil? so wtf he always flex us 😭😭😭 thank you 😭😭😭 filos really appreciate it 🥺

Sa tingin ko ang number one na exolanation dyan sa video na yan ay di lng sya basta nag promote ng pinoy food. Ang pinaka goal nya dyan is kapag nakita ng pililipino na promote ang pinoy food mag click ang pinoy and then more views more subscriber and more money.

You should also try bringing a whole pig or “lechon” in times square 😂

Well, if lechon, only few people can do it right. It has to be crispy skin not over cooked and the meat inside has to be soft. But with adobo, anybody can.

those spanish peoples who liked the taste of flavor of adobo😍 it really shows how spanish people and filipino people have the same taste buds!!
Its because adobo is a spanish word that means marinade.
It was really adapted from Spanish time during world war 2 ..no refrigerator so they cook food to last for a long period time .
Cristina David lol, the mos stupid comment ever, adapted from spanish time during world war 2? ahaha and there is no word in spanish as adobo, there is adobar which means marinate. Adobo is an authentic filipino dish. So before you guys open your mouth make sure you have references. Spanish era starts from 1565-1898 and world war 2 is i think during 1942-1945. Ang daming nagtatalinuhan sa comment section pero nung nag aaral ayaw nmn mag aral ahy naku.
