If you want to use pigments for other techniques you can do the same in this video but change the consistency to suit each technique. Again, this is the way I do it! It works for me and I love the result! I'm sure you can find other ways but I wanted to show you guys how I do it! Thank you for watching and please subscribe if you haven't!

Your Dutch pour turned out beautifully Erica! And thank you so much for the tutorial about mixing pigments with tube paint, which I think is a brilliant idea and just imagine the incredible colours you can get. Your other video about mixing pigments with your gloss gel medium and water was so informative as I’d only heard negative reports about those particular pigments not dispersing properly. Keep up the great work! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Erica, awesome video 😍 I live in Ireland and get Owtrol. Just wondered why u use American Floetrol? Not easy to get here. Thank you for ur help 🙂🍀❣
this is very beautiful and thank you for sharing. now i've bought the Golden gel gloss. but when I've mixed it with water it's not so smoothy like yours. perhaps I have to waite a while?
Why do you in the first one always water, and the others all flootrol? Is that becaus flootrol make cells? Thanks
Hi thjs is probably a far to old vid to get an ansqer but is is best to mix the TLPs w a not so opaque paint, its late and im a bit old lol ut what im sayin is it best to use on a more clear paint? Like one that has only half the value box crossed out.. Sorry for not being less confusing ..thanks for any help and this was super helpfull but had the one question
Thanks Big Tony
🧡
I love this idea!! Will the pigments now make your semi transparent or transparent paint opaque? And which pigment brand do you recommend?
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤩
Amazing. Can I use resin pigment to do the same.
I am so new to all of this. Do pigments add shine? richness?
For the amount of pigments you mixed, how much floetrol could you use ? If you wanted a larger amount for a base color for the canvas for example
Thank you for this video. Can you tell me why it's better to use the transparent or semi opaque tube paints instead of the opaque when mixing with pigments?
Opaque colours will take over and u won't be able to see the pigment.
That's amazing to look at, love the shimmer. Is that a dark marine blue you mixed for the other half in painting?
Thank you! I always forget something when editing videos lol. Sorry... its prussian blue by Amsterdam. A gorgeous shade.
Take your time people can fast forward if they want
This is beautiful!! I tried my first Dutch pour lastnight an it was okay for my first try. Is your blow dryer setting low or high when blowing out the paint?
Hi, I just started a few months ago. I keep my hair dryer on low. If the paint is hard to move on a low setting that means I need it to be thinner.
@@auntielu4394 hello, thank you! I definitely struggle with blowing my paint on low setting so I will thin it out next time!
What did you mix your tube paints with in this Dutch pour?
Erica I would like to do a Dutch pour with piggies using first dispersing them in jo sonjas gloss varnish then I usually add my pm which is untinted paint for a bloom but I want to do a Dutch pour. I'm going to use liquitex pm for a pm. Is it possible for you to give me measurements for that.
Hi Kelly! I don't use liquitex pouring medium so I can't give you a measurement. Here is what I have been using:
DIY POURING MEDIUM:
Approximately 25% Golden Regular Gloss Gel 75% USA FLOOD FLOETROL
Disbursement for Pigments:
Golden Regular Gloss Gel mixed with water until "skimmed milk" consistency
TUBE Paints:
1 Part Paint to 5 Parts DIY POURING MEDIUM (Water to thin if needed depending on technique)
If you want to extend your tube paint further, you can add extra floetrol!
This Little Piggy Pigments:
Disperse in Gel/Water mix then add DIY POURING MEDIUM
Thank you for this info! I find it both comical and sad that you have to explain simple things in detail for some viewers but I'm glad you are as kind as you are to do so. I love blending pigment with tube paint! I've been buying gloss pouring medium and its expensive. Gel gloss us cheaper and serves my same purpose.
I hate to be such a critic but you really need to get a better close captioner. A brief for quinacrone magenta could be kpag/pmag. It's pour, not poor nor pore. If your captioner is going to do this type of work, googling paint names would be very helpful. Again, I apologize for being such a stickler for correct captioning work. Love YOUR art.
