  • In this tutorial, I show how I mix up my white base layer paint and also how to mix up paint into a squeeze bottle. I use different ratios for each of these because the brands are different. This is a fairly basic tutorial, but my hope is that it teaches you something and inspires you to try fluid art. I hope it answers many of the most commonly asked questions.
    This is my second tutorial and I plan to create more. Let me know in the comments what else you would like to know.
    Thank you for watching! 💕

    I have learned more watching only two of your videos than I have learned from watching dozens of others. They’re great but I love that you are making it simple so that even a beginner like me can easily understand.

    This was really helpful, thank you.
    I've been trying to work out how to start and most of the videos seem to be more technique, rather than mixing basics. If you wanted to make more cells using silicone oil, do you mix it into one of the paints, or put drops on?

    Thank you for your wonderful instructions. I just have one question. The first mixture you did with Amsterdam white, was that for your base coat (to cover your canvas), or using as either base coat or in your colored paint mixture?

    Thank you very much Amy for this information. Please I used these ratios with Amsterdam oxide black as base coat but the problem the black swallowed all my other colors do you think the problem comes from the paint?thank you❤❤❤

    Thank you for sharing this recipe --- I am still in process of finding a recipe that works best for me. Do you use some craft paints still? I imagine they would be less Floetrol and or water. -- thannk you again!

    I don’t have a scale. But I use measuring cups. Can you tell me your measurements converted to 1/4 cup or 1/3 cup….

    Amy are your ratios the same as Arteza for Liquitex, Pebeo and other similar paints. This was a wonderful video and very well explained!😀

    • @amyyysartistry
      @amyyysartistry  Год назад

      Yes they are! And I mix up Amsterdam, Winsor Newton, and Liquitex Heavy Body all the same (less paint). Thank you - I'm glad the video was helpful for you! 💕

    Floetrol creates cells. What if i dont want any?

    • @amyyysartistry
      @amyyysartistry  Год назад +2

      Great question! Sometimes I don’t want them either. If you use all of the same paint brands (like all Liquitex brand paints) and no metallics (or other specialties) then you drastically reduce the cell creation (if any). When you add different brands and metallics to a pour, you definitely will get more reactions (because of the differing binders). You could use a Liquitex pouring medium or even just water to reduce cell formation as well. But yes, I will still get cells sometimes with no specialties and same paint brands mixed with Floetrol.
