Excellent videos this is what students need to see. I it would be a little more complicated but since your compound gauges have the pressure temperature relationship on them to explain superheat and sub cooling and what is happening at the same time when there’s a system that is not operating properly..
But this would make your videos longer because you would have to explain this verbally, and make it a little more complicated for a beginning student .
So, in this case, this is where digital gauges shine, and having the clamp on Bluetooth temperature probes on the lines and air sensors that you humidity in the software automatically calculates the superHeat and subcooling and show it to you on a graft that you can display below, or next to your gauges at the same time . And this would make your job much easier and give your students a extra visual aid in understanding how the system works.. and he knows we are circumstances you have a system that is cooling too much like you’re on video you would watch your superheat go down to zero and explain to the students. This is where compressor damage happens because now the temperature line has dropped below the saturation point of the refrigerant and you’re literally getting liquid refrigerant being served back to the compressor overtime causes damage.
I know analog gauges are easy and basic and I come from the old-school of analog gauges when I started some 48 years ago . I personally have not used in a long cages in nearly 20 years and the rest of the industry is slowly not using analog gauges anymore unless they’re taught by somebody who does use analog gauges..
Using analog gauges is the equivalent of using a old fashion headlight with two wires on it as a test light in today’s automotive electrical circuits .
Yes, it is useful and easy in some cases but there’s just so much more information and easily obtained with the diagnosis software that comes with a good digital gauges. They will even give you your compressor efficiency your compressor ratio, and even your BTU output of work load.
You do a wonderful job making these videos . Keep up the good work..
I’ve been making it my duty to catch Young Automotive students up to going into the 22nd century of using digital gauges for software . Because we no longer get up in the morning and hand crank to start our engines anymore..
