Excellent use of space with the bed cover and it looks like a quality made box and components. 100 gallons! Wow! That is so nice to be able to find the fuel station you want when you want it. Great addition I’d love to add to my 21 F350 dually.
Great video. Cool way to use up that space. Thanks.
I’ve been looking for a good tool box/tonneau cover combo and just found it! Thanks!
Where you located? I’m selling this unit as I have to downsize trucks
@xcntrk75 do you still have this unit?
Very nice! I have a similar setup in my F-350
Great video on the installation. Just the information I was looking for. I do have a question. With your fifth wheel trailer hooked up does the tool box lid easy to open to allow fueling?
Do you think this tank/toolbox combo will work well with an F350 with tonneau cover?
Was it hard to get to the front tank mounting point with it being under the bed cover box?
Now you have been using this setup for a while, how do you like it?
I guess your diesel cap doesn’t have the check valve in it anymore. It only lets air into the tank, not diesel or air out of the factory tank.
Any updates on tank and toolbox?
Do you miss having that bedspace before you got it installed?
Great product and video but are you not scared that you should have a filter or you’ll always use it?
Can you override to fill your main tank?
Which cover is that, they have a variety on their website.
I have a 24 GMC dually.
Can I get the specs for your tank to order one. I have a 2022 Raptor with Retrax bed cover and this seems to be the perfect invention we all could use and need. Thanks.
How's that system working out almost 3 years latter? I want the 99 gallon for my F450.
I enjoy your videos. Which tank did you start with (AT50TT)? I was thinking without the freedom option, I could just kick the pump on the aux tank say around half a tank on the primary and fill to three quarters then repeat until I reached a quarter on the aux then stop and refuel. Think that would work? I have a retractable cover similar to yours (retraxpro), the tank fit in front of the canister and did not interfere with you 5th wheel hitch or the canister? I use a Reese Goosebox so I just have the the goose ball in the bed. I have a 2020 F350 towing a 2019 Momentum 397 toy hauler.
It's the AT52TT-RT with a customization to move the filler neck inside the tool box, plus powder coating. On a long bed there's plenty of room for Ford puck system attachments including 5th wheel hitch. I too use a Goosebox which as you know has tons of room. Good luck!
take aux to empty, refuel with 10 gallon in primary, replace aux fuel filter every other oil change
I finally got around to installing the same tank. Did you have a issue with the truck gauge? Mine transfers the fuel like it is supposed to driving down the road. Kicks on at a half tank then kicks off sometimes after. I can't tell if it fills to 3/4 because the truck gauge does not move, but the aux tank gauge does go down. I have confirmed it is transferring the fuel. Then I notice my miles to empty start creeping up every so slowly for some time then they will start going down, but again real slow. Not mile for mile like normally. If I have the aux tank system off everything works as normal.
i didn't reset my gauges, instead use my trip odometer and know when to refuel so that only have 10 gallon in reserve so don't burn out fuel pump, empty aux tank because 5 gallon sits in neck that never drains, only buy Titan poly never aluminum/steel because leak
now that 2 yr has past how do you feel about the tank and freedom fill system?
Dammit man that’s nice I want that exact setup you have. I love that, I have a 2014 f350 and my stock tank is only 23 why I have no idea probably because the 6 gallon dpf tank next to it which I now have deleted.
Titan and S&B make replacement tanks for that tiny primary tank. My old F350 had the same 23 gallon that I upgraded to a 50g Titan.
i bot 55 gallon midship replacement and 50 gallon inbed from Titan, dont buy aluminum/steel only poly
I would of mounted the pod in the center console for easier access.
Is it just for diesel or can they make it gas also for a 1500 5.7 hemi???
Just diesel. Can’t carry gasoline in bed containers like this.
@@xcntrk75 thx👍
Where did you get that bed cover I also have a f450
It’s a Pace Edwards cover. Here’s some more info: ruclips.net/video/hRt7PKDclh4/видео.html
@@xcntrk75 I had a Pace Edwards on my ‘11 Toyota Tundra without the power and it was the best cover I have ever had. You could literally jump on the thing and you wouldn’t break it, and it slides real smooth. Even with the manual you can set it up so it locks in several locations as it slides toward the rear. I thought the canister was a waste of space at the time, especially with the extra short bed on the Tundra, until I saw this setup.
guess the creator doesn't reply anymore to old videos.
Where can you buy this setup? Thanks
titan fuel systems
Are you gonna run the Cannonball??? ; )
lol
How much did this cost?
go to website and price check
@@joemeyer2726 you smart ass
How do you vent the air in the Ford Factory tank? If it is half empty of diesel then it is half full of air. When you pump into it, you have to displace the air somewhere or it will inflate the tank with pressure like a balloon.
The factory tank has 2 high spot vents. The Aux tank has a vent too that feeds back into the overflow system.
Awesome 1 problem.. you didn’t mention the check valve .. so it wouldn’t overflow.. of course only mention what benefits you..
What check valve are you referring to? The fill system is integrated with the primary tank sending unit and will only fill the primary tank to 3/4 full then shutdown the transfer pump.
This guy obviously doesn’t understand how gravity feeds work, way more simple and I’ve never had a drop of diesel overflow or spill after 4 trucks with aux tanks.
Does the cover keep the feul smell in the bed?
There’s no fuel smell since it’s an Aux tank plumbed into the main tank. If it were a transfer tank with a nozzle stored in the bed that might be a different story.
no fuel smell with titan fuel tank
That’s cool and all, but I am sure it is expensive. For free I can watch my Ford factory fuel gauge and when it’s 7/8th full, get this, I switch my transfer pump and valve off with the upfitter switch.
And if your distracted or not paying attention and forget or are late in turning it off, where is all that fuel going to go? It can take 20min to transfer all the fuel through a 3/8” line. You’re going to rely on your eyeballs and paying attention to ensure you shut it off on time?
What kind of ser up do you have?
nice setup but prolly way over priced
pays for itself in 3 months
I WISH SOMEONE WOULD MAKE A PLASTIC TANK, OR "BLADDER TANK", AND, THEN, PUT IT INSIDE A METAL TANK, TO BETTER PROTECT EVERYTHING....I HOPE THAT THESE TANKS HAVE "ANTI-SLOSH" BAFFLING INSIDE...(?).... WHAT ABOUT A TANK FOR GASOLINE VEHICLES????!!!!!
buy titan, all tanks baffle, gas tank against law, it would be be a freaking bomb rolling down highway at 80 mph
@@joemeyer2726 how then can a Ford F-150 have a 36 gallon gasoline tank but a Ford Ranger can only have an 18 gallon tank? I sure would like to know the logic behind that.
@@chuckellis3683 space limitations, pretty basic
Great idea but I had to stop watching because you were swinging the camera around and I was about to throw up.
Lol. I’m no Vlogger, just sharing cool upgrades others might be interested in
Where can you buy this setup? Thanks
This unit is from ATTA and they can manufacture any style you want. Ironically I might be selling this unit pictured as I'm changing trucks. Let me know if interested, email ar-fabrication@outlook.com
