Hi there! I´m having trouble making this work for me. The AiCloud App works only when connected to my internal network wiFi, but outsite the network, it can`t find the router. Could it be because of the DDNS ? Or the access port ?

I see you watched a video that you have on your drive from the app, but can this be done on a computer accessing the device via the browser ftp link? I can't seem to be able to watch the videos on my drive doing this. It just wants me to download the file.

hi I have this router, really good , I have toll by EA Sport technician , the this router is really awesome, now I haven't find how to use this router as a repeater, example, I have a router on the front of the house, but on the back signal is really poor, can I connect this router to that poor signal and amplified that signal? so I can use the same log ins to the Wifi? or do I need to run a cat 5 to the back of the house,? hope no, is no possible to do that, the cat 5 mean, pls I will really like to know if that is possible, thanks your subscriber JC Olivera

Do I have to format the hard drive as FAT32, exFAT or NTFS? Does anyone knows? Thanks.
I've tried exfat and ntfs and they both work.
I have never tried Fat32 because of the file size limit of 4gb.
Using ntfs at the moment myself
Trying to set this up but when I try to create a domain name (you do HTLTEST) I get INVALID IP ADDRESS.

+Deivid Beytayoub You need a static IP address from your service provider for this to work. (one of those details they don't mention) There may be a way to make it work through port forwarding but I haven't looked in to it yet.
+Damian Potesta I am having this issue too. Also I can't access my data through the Aicloud app (iPhone 5s) remotely, I am getting a ISP error and am able to access only at home network.
+Damian Potesta yes, i confirm that you need indeed a static ip address for that to work
I was able to get my RT-AC3100 router set up with it set to DHCP from my ISP. Maybe there is a firmware upgrade to fix this for your router by now?

asus aidisk and aicloud don't work for me at home. Cant figure out how to upload files to the connected usb storage. I cant even access to damn usb storage using ftp:// address or asuscomm address. I quit, buying an ethernet personal cloud storage from a major brand.
What is the DDNS, you just type in anything or what? Why dont you go over that? Thats the part we need to know about.

You're giving it a domain name (or part of it anyway). You understand what a domain name is right? It resolves to a unique IP address, so give it a name meaningful to you. I made up something unique and easy to remember, pretty sure it can be anything as long as it is not already registered by someone else. Just type in something, it will tell you if it's already used, its the same deal you went through when you created your gmail account. If its taken, you must try a new name.
