Chad, I’ve never bought one of your PDFs but I’ve always been enticed. Today, I’m going to purchase this. A great offer from a great saxophonist and a superb teacher. Thank you, coming from a soon to be college freshman and CLB fan!
Just bought this and and your 65 melodic phrases. Thank you so much for being an inspiring player and educator. I often need fresh ideas to inspire me to practice in a different way and allow myself a new approach rather than going through the motions. I’ve had many practice techniques I’ve used over the years and it always amazes me how much more there is to learn. Never ending I guess - and that’s the joy (and sometimes pain) of it. I appreciate your chord tone approach a lot - it’s nice and angular too! I’ll have fun with these. Great vibe. :). Take care and thanks again!
I neglected chord tones for years thinking it was not going to help me learn to solo. Unfortunately this misunderstanding left me behind... Now I am finally getting things together and catching up doing the work.
Chad....I believe I've finally found what my playing is lacking with single note soloing with this information!! Its awesome. I understand what you're doing and now have to get this book and work on incorporating it into.my playing. Will be ordering it soon!! Thanks. PS.. you're a helluva good player!!
Hi, this is very powerful, I bought the package and I am starting to memorize the shapes for certain chord sequences. This is really the way to build up improvisation skills from the bottom. I wish I had started with this before. Thanks for this awesome content!!
My approach would be shed them, memorise them, and write my own with the same concepts on other tunes I'm trying to learn. Over time you'll internalise the language and when you improvise for real on a gig it'll just flow out of habit.

Me too! Just getting into it now and it's brilliant - if only this stuff was around when I was learning years ago.

Donna Lee is basically the key to bop.
Literally from the first line. Couldn’t agree more. I’d also add confirmation.
What Is This Thing Called Love in the intro?
I'm pretty sure it is yeah!
Haircut!!! Didn't go for the Seagal greased ponytail after haha!
Chad you reminds me of Jesus Christ movies.😀. I think you're the savior of frustrated Jazz disciples.
And you’re his disciple, Mathew?
