- Another month, another Monthly Report!
Info on this month's stories:
1. Saturn Updates
4 seperate major updates to Saturn, the machinima-focused version of the SM64 PC port by sm64rise, with contributions from developer Dominicentek brought in a large amount of brand new additions and improvements to already-existing features.
Brand new additions include: camera tilting with the V and B keys, environment color correction (Some environments work better with this than others, with the Inside Castle level being one of the best), scene-saving features, a new splash (or startup) screen at launch, and the Object Spawner which allows loading in any object from a level's object bank onto any point of a level map.
Improvements to current features came in a number of enhancements to Saturn's keyframe system, increasing the amount of functions that can be keyframed and improving the ease of using the keyframe timeline.

2. PolyDance Launched
PolyDance is a new forum board for SM64 machinimists organized by sm64rise that was made open to the public this August. The site is focused on Saturn model releases and help with the program, but also includes sections for other topics.

3. Opal64
A new machinima group channel, going by Opal64, was made public during the month with their introductory upload on August 4. The group was created and is led by MG1 (some creative input was provided by xero64) and consists of 14 total members as of late August.

4. AzureMario64 Messages
A new dimension to controversy centered around former machinimist ShortCD, previously known as TheShortSonic64, originated later in August over messages sent by an alternate Discord account, going by AzureMario64. The messages consisted of heavy use of insults, various threats, and even highly disturbing media; most of this in an apparent hate campaign against baihsense, previously sm64mods, who ShortCD had previously had some amount of conflict with.
The morning following, ShortCD, on his main Discord account, responded by saying that none of the messages were authored by him and instead that someone else had access to the AzureMario account, potentially, he says, a community member going by Kaptain Kharisma. As backing evidence of this, Short confirmed that he did give his login details for his alternate email account (which apparently match login details for the AzureMario64 Discord account) to Kaptain Kharisma, at Kaptain's request. After this, Short's alternate email account received notifications of a new device gaining access to the email account and a new login location for the alternate Discord account. ShortCD also pointed out that, after AzureMario64 attacks, Kaptain posted screenshots of the messages in a community tab post (which has since been taken down). Short says that login details were given to no one else but KaptainK.
Kaptain Kharisma has responded to this claim by saying that, likewise, he was not responsible for any of the AzureMario64 messages, offering as backing evidence the fact that the AzureMario64 account attacked him as well and that, at the time, he was already logged into Discord on two different devices. Days later, KaptainK shared a screenshot which apparently shows another DM attack (from an unknown account) which used similar language to the attacks carried out by AzureMario64. KaptainK also says that login details were not shared with anyone else.
An analysis of different gathered and presented details shows that KaptainK (or a connected indivdual) may potentially have gotten access to the Discord account. Beyond this, specifics around whether or not each individual, ShortCD or KaptainK, sent the toxic messages using the account are yet to be determined. This is a developing story and will be updated if any major details arise.
UPDATE: The AzureMario64 Discord account has since been deleted. This was either initiated by Discord's moderation team or whoever had access to the account at the time of the deletion. ShortCD (now Packed64) has said that he did not delete the account himself.

5. Chef Bowser Reboot Suspension
The Chef Bowser Reboot channel, whose latest content consisted of machinima gameplay content, was taken down by RUclips for what RUclips says was violation of the platform's impersonation policy. The channel's owner, going by Chef Bowser (or MASG8), says that his fanmade channel shouldn't be subject to a termination on that ground. An appeal sent RUclips's way was rejected.
