I bought this lens because of the price. I love it because of the performance and size. I use it mostly to shoot details at events because of its macro abilities. It stays in my bag and sometimes in my pocket because of its size. Great review!
I have this lens, my issue with it is that the pictures are not sharp enough when you zoom into the photos after taking them. It is not a lens which you will take to a professional shoot. I have a RF 24-70 2.8 and at 35 mm, the difference is night and day. I still personally feel like the 24-70 is Canon's greatest lens right now , i nfact, i think it is THE greatest lens right now on the market. It also has IS and you can switch from 24 to 28 to 35 to 50 to 70. Great focal ranges and it is super duper sharp as a razor blade in all focal legnths. It is by far the best lens I have ever used.
Great review! It was the first RF lens I bought when I went mirrorless and although I don't use it to much, it's my go to for family functions and indoor events. Also great for street (I prefer 35 over 50) and it is very stealth compared to my other lenses. One thing you didn't touch on is it is also a macro lens with a .57' focusing distance. Cheers!
@@luminaire7085 When you say indoor events are you talking concerts and such? Great for family birthday events indoors. It will pair with the R7 but because of the crop factor becomes a 56mm which becomes a little tight in a confined space.

Thanks! I wish I had more time with it. I would have explored the macro capabilities.

4:11 Which clear filter would you recommend?
Im debating on selling my sigma 35mm 1.4 since I've gotten this RF lens I'm not sure what to do
Can this lens work with canon m50 mark ii?
No, you would need to get the EFM 22mm f2 for an equivalent focal length
