hi guys, had the same exact issue. Tried every single button combinations, got no result. Here how I accomplished , I know sounds so funny but it did work. I covered the whole surface and back of the phone with tissue (twice) and covered it again with plastic bag and taped it not to allow any air inside. Then put the phone in the fridge, upper part, don't know how to call that part (the one you have ice cubes from). During my phone ice-bathing I smoked 2 cig and took shower, so after around 45 min, I took it back from fridge. Uncovered those things I put on it. The phone was freezing cold, and that blue light was alive and continuous. Well I waited for 5 min, dried the surface with a napkin. Then just simply hit the power button. It went extremely well. Phone is back to normal. Incredible. Hugs.
I once had a Samsung Note 4 I powered up with this method until I have to change the motherboard. I believe you are talking about Note 5 here. Since you woke it up, has there been anytime you have to put it back to the refrigerator? Also, how did yours developed the problem, through fall?

I saw you simultaneously press the volume up button & the right side 'on' button, & then I saw you simultaneously press the volume down button & the right side 'on' button. Well, the 'up' volume method failed but the 'down' volume method worked, so THANKS!!

So I had this phone I put it up for awhile ,give it to my young daughter and plugged it in to see if it would charge ,after 30min the blue led light came on stayed on ,now it's off but it won't power on ,it vibrates a pulse when you hold down the power button... Anybody know what ti do ,does it mean screen isn't any good

Take the battery out of the phone. Hold power button down for 1 min., replace battery turn phone back on. If your 1st attempt doesn't work, try it for 2 min., if that doesn't work try 3.

It means it's frozen so let it sit for one day mine had that issue before

Try a hard reboot by holding the power and down volume button. After that select option 1. You shouldn't lose any settings/files on the phone.
