This looks absolutely delicious candy that sauce everything and that foil paper tip is awesome I hate scrubbing pots and pans so I always do it 😆 thanks for sharing this awesome recipe I love it 😋
Can substitute with boneless chicken thigh meat or boneless chicken chop meat which I always did. If you do not want to use artificial colourings you can substitute with red yeast rice powder or preserved red beancurd.
this will be my lunch today. How do you bake it? My oven has only FAN FORCED option, there is no conventional oven and I'm wondering I may burn the meat using fan. Thank you
Girrrl you're dangerous!😋 😋😂😂everything just looks so delicious. I have been binge watching your video's for 2 days now. I will not be satisfied until I taste something you cook... Do you cater or ship food over night?
Hi Candy. Does this still taste nice without the ginger/garlic ingredients?? Allergy from these 2. I would love to make this but wonder if it will alter it to much. Thanks in Advance ☺️
Of course it will have a slight difference because we don't get the authentic ingredients here. We use what we have so we can still enjoy it. It's very close tho in my opinion.
@@candythaglamcook Look at the amount of sodium in soy sauce, hoisin sauce and practically all chinese sauces. It's very high. Plus you marinated it then several brushings while cooking. I want my blood pressure at a normal level. This would elevate it severely...
@@mikeblaz you can't judge until you try it. It's not salty atall it has a perfect balance of savory and sweet. If you've ever had chinese bbq pork before you'd know it's nowhere near salty its more of a sweet taste to it. The glaze I was brushing on it had very little soy sauce where most of the glaze was honey and char siu sauce which is sweet also.
@@mikeblaz well if you so strongly believe that I suggest you add 1/4 the amount that i added so you'd still be able to try try recipe but with less sodium.i actually want you to try and come back here and give me your feedback.

Can I substitue char sauce for red coloring food?
Yes you can
Hey! I would love to try this recipe but I dont have char siu. Can I substitute with something else?
It can be left out just add alittle red food coloring to give it the red color.
What part of the pork shoulder do you buy
@donnacanadas7687 butt or shoulder. Dint know they have parts to them.

You can have it with bone or without.
Hi Candy.

Thanks in Advance ☺️
Hi dear it will still be amazing you can leave those out.
Looks nice, u encouragin me to start back eating pork!🤨
Thank you it can be done with chicken too.
If you don't have Chinese 5 spice...you can substitute garam masala. It has all the same basic ingredients. Wonderful recipe madam!
I wouldn't add garam masala it's not the same. But thank you for stopping by.
Do you use measurements for the ingredients? If you do would you care to share them

Hello new subscriber

I want to add the meat into the rice...but I don't want the rice change to red color🤔
If you make fried rice and add this in after it won't change the color.
@@candythaglamcook thanks🤗
Never mind I see it now.
Looks great and I'm sure it taste great but the amount of sodium would kill me...
It more sweet then salty to be honest.

Mmmmmmm :)
I use pork loin.
You can use whatever part of the pig you like. I use the shoulder because it's more moist.
❤Love lean pork❤
