The installation of the stopworks is not the same in all 1161 models. I notice your particular model winds counterclockwise. The model I just repaired, the 1161-853 114 cm model winds clockwise. Although it makes no difference in their interactions, the gears on your stopworks are 14 and 13-toothed and the gears on my model are 13 and 12-toothed. Were I to set the stopworks on my model exactly as you show in the video, the clock would stop almost immediately since my model winds clockwise and unwinds counterclockwise. Thus, I have to set mine up as a mirror image of your setup. Just thought I'd mention that the setup depends on the model and which way the main wheels wind and unwind. The difference might make for some confusion for other viewers.
Hello, I have been searching high and low to figure out how to set the winding stops. Thank you for this video. I noticed that you realized the gear was put on backwards and you flipped and fixed it. How can you tell? Thanks again.
Hi, thank for the very detailed and informative explanation. One questions: @3.15, you flipped the gear. Is there any difference putting the gear that side or the other? thx again for the video!
I had been stumbling for several days to fix this very problem. THANK YOU!
Fantastic!
Thanks!
Keep the videos coming - especially one showing how to centre a warn pivot hole, before fitting a bushing.
Дякую вам за працю 😊❤

Thanks DPerry. As usual you are spot on.
Would these stops keep the pendulum from continuing to swing? Mine swing for only a few minutes before stopping, even though wound

Also where can I purchase this ?

Great! One side is slightly rounded so as to give a little clearance for the motion against the movement. however, it will operate both ways.

Yes, sometimes there is a slight incline on one side which provides some clearance, but it is not critical
thx!@@Chrisclockrepair
Love the new video
Why two notches and why does it have to lock in the second notch?
Why do my pendulums only swing for short time and then stop?
The clock is either out of beat or it needs servicing.
Isn't it kieninger?
Yes!
That’s not a Hermle 1161. Keininger movement.
