    Something about this video makes me come back to it again and again. I think seeing high-level chefs cooking in the forest is just one of the best things I've ever seen on RUclips.

    When he says, “a little pork chop...” I’ve seen a great many pork chops in my decade of cooking on line. That one is unbelievable in its quality. Nilsson is a chef I respect more for what he cooked outside of Fäviken than his menu when it was open.

      John Bonds The chops are on the top side of the animal and the belly is the underside. They are not directly connected.

    This just shows you the european OBSESSION with BUTTER. All that pork fat being rendered and yet they still add about a pound of butter to it and everything else. I'm surprised they didn't start a grease fire with such a shallow pan.

    • @fatboy19681
      @fatboy19681 9 лет назад +19

      You're hilarious! Butter is one of the true culinary luxuries in the world. Pork fat and butter both browning with garlic and fresh juniper branches? Get with the program! You can eat olive oil tomorrow..:)

    • @jeffreybrooks1196
      @jeffreybrooks1196 8 лет назад +7

      +oopopp x You say it like it's a bad thing...? Chefs add butter for flavor, not just for the cooking power of fat. It's common to use butter to finish a seared or pan-roasted cut of meat like this.

    • @MalakianM2S
      @MalakianM2S 6 лет назад +1

      Not all europeans, just french trained cooks. Mediterranean countries rarely use butter as the "main fat" for cooking. I'd admit that in some cases improve the taste of the dish, but personally I find it quite heavy and "monochromatic".

    They're trying to sell the idea that they're camping out in the woods, but they've got the normal camera crew there, thus entirely exposing the illusion.
    Surely, no one's falling for that, right?
