Whether you're a famous cricketer or a holidaymaker, the rules apply to all!
Rules apply to all but the way your custom officers are treating them is absolutely disgraceful. I can feel the disdain in your tone. Shame on you guys!
New Zealand customs is ridiculous and shameful on themselves! How petty
Nothing is disgraceful in treating everyone with same rules. Custom officers are talking so polite--- It is 'us' Indians who need to learn respect other countries rules and regulations. The way this cricketer reacted is actually Disgraceful and disrespectful. (I am Indian and I am just ashamed of seeing this)

With all respect, while I totally agree with your sentiment, in the case of that showcased Cricket player, he can't claim ignorance as he was informed up front of the expectations. I agree that his arrogance was on display for all who watched this video. I would also accept: Rude, Entitled, Spoiled, Self-centered, Egotistical and Pompous.
True. But out of 20 other players only this player is seen arrogant. Rest others are respectful. So the probability is 1/20. I think its ignorable 😊 With this small percentage we cannot create a perception about a country.

So honest that they never stops disrespecting Indian players on the field. But when times changed they had to give up.
Honestly!
A good officer would not lecture and say things like @5:10
Harbhajan instead never lost his cool. He was calm and expressed his disappointment in a dignified manner.
Entitlement is never cool. Say this as an Indian in the US. It really bothers me when Indians abroad bring their entitlement attitude of "chalta hai" abroad. When in rome, do as romans do. Simple.
You are being exceptionally harsh! Cricketers everywhere are pampered when they play for their country! Some have airs others don’t . The country receiving the team, their officials attitude borders on hoity toighty towards non white teams, obviously the Indian players won’t take it lying down either.
