Telling a woman she has to accept men in her personal space is not accetable.
Telling Trans people they're not real is far worse
What about a respectful and tolerant attitude towards women and girls? Our privacy, dignity and safety are important to us.
Yes! He doesn’t want to hear about that! Life is full of choices and nobody can have a yes stamp for every desire they think about- transgender people should never be allowed in a women’s restroom or other private space, and should not be allowed to compete against biological women in sports. So, if they want to play in sports, they need to compete in their biological gender and they need to use their biological restrooms. Businesses can design their buildings to offer trans restrooms and trans sports if they’d like- but biological women deserve to live their lives to the fullest too- he wanted nothing to do with that!
Hear hear! They're more interested in their own sense of entitlement than the safety and privacy of women and girls! They're evil. Flat-out EVIL.
Beth Rigby did a great job. He spent most of the interview trying to reframe the questions so he could avoid directly answering them.
Just like a politician.
This was a man who's lived in an echo chamber suddenly exposed to the real world.
This is Stonewall who have had a 'no debate' on trans issues now saying they want a polite discussion, it is not going to be polite, tough.
When it came to LGB questions he answered them. When he got to the T questions he never gave a proper answer. The closest he came to answering was to say he wanted everyone to be happy. In other words he wants biological women to be happy that biological men can go in their spaces. I understand why the LGB alliance broke away.
No he didn't he couldn't condemn Kelly all he could say was those are not my words. He's a sell out and won't answer if men can be lesbians.
Because LGB is biological, nature gave it a place in the world in harmony with heterosexuality. T, on the other hand, is not biological. T is fantasy and because of that it constantly collides with reality.

He supports men in women's sports and single sex spaces, and I don't believe he has the best interests in the LGB community, just the trans side.
“Shouting at each other”? Women are not shouting at trans, trans are shouting at women. Just look at any ‘Let wonen speak’ event.

Beth Rigby was well prepared. It might have been worth asking : 1) why Trans, which is so loose and poorly defined, became Stonewall’s primary focus; 2) whether they have now abandoned the “no debate” tactic as laid out in the infamous Denton’s document (they clearly have resisted any meeting with LGB Alliance); 3) whether safeguarding of children & women is an issue that Stonewall thinks has a high priority and how they reconcile the conflict regarding male bodied individuals accessing their spaces.
When asked about whether transwomen should be allowed in single sex spaces his answer was to have " ... a conversation and calm them (women) and reassure them ". This translates as they should shut the f*** up and accept it."
Must be exhausting having to dance around a straight answer like that. I wonder what it does to someone psychologically..
We need to get Stonewall out of all our institutions. I’m sick to death of taxpayer money lining the pockets of these dangerous extremists and their ‘pay to be lobbied’ protection racket.

The 'resepct' and 'tolerance' only goes one way though. Women are only asking for the rights we already have to single sex spaces and sports etc. Beth is amazing here - focusing on women and he is obviously not used to someone doing this and sticking to the point and trying to get honest answers from him.
I would refute the 4% of women not being supportive of the ‘trans’ lobby that he quoted from last year. It is MUCH higher. Many people over 40 yrs old don’t understand that a ‘trans woman’ is a male body and not a women who is ‘transgender’. So I would like to see how these questions were asked and to whom. The under 25’s are now captured by their educators and peer groups so I would trust their opinions of this matter at all.

Yes many women if they ever did support ‘trans’ rights have now removed their support on realisation that really it was about men’s sexual rights and the removal of women’s rights to say No and uphold their own boundaries.
The findings of the study was not reported in their entirety. Ian was correct in the sense that most people support T rights but what wasn't clarified was that when people were asked if they'd support intact males accessing females only spaces well surprise, surprise the public was overwhelming against this. Studies also show for example, the public is overwhelmingly against gender reform in Scotland.
They've already tried to walk back on some of this through press releases 😂
It’d be great if Iain could give one example of a TERF using the type of violent language used by many trans people a particular recent example being Sarah Jane Barker but there are a multitude of examples of trans violence and violent language, I do not see the women who are calling for the protection of single sex spaces threatening the male bodied trans people in these ways

I've never really been a fan of Beth Rigby but this interview was excellent. The soft tones coupled with firm pushback was a joy to watch.
What a sick man
A perfect example of never actually answering a question. But he could not hide the fact that he, Stonewall, and trans ideologues, believe men should have access to all of women's spaces, including trans women. Hopefully this kind of exposure of the trans cult will continue to peak people and bring some semblance of common sense and reality back.
This interview should be enshrined as a case study in how to avoid answering a question. Not one single question, which begged a yes or no answer, did he answer yes or no. Of the literally hundreds of questions asked he did not give a single direct answer. Maddening to listen to.

This tortured conflating of sex w/ gender which has been by design by 'trans' activists to confuse and obsfuscate the issues is frustrating to watch. Men cannot change their sex and whether or not they take hormones or have surgery they are not female nor are they any kind of a woman. FFS they are male/men and will always be male w/ all of the male pattern violence and sexual fetishes and paraphilias that are peculiar to males. And most of them are heterosexual and are genitally-intact. So there is no question about whether a 'transgender' 'woman' might have a male body as Beth said but certainty that he will b/c he is male. So can we please use sex when we mean sex and stop conflating it w/ gender. Trying to get a straight answer out of this man is like pulling hen's teeth.

No need to say 'biological' when talking about women we all know a female is a woman. A transgender woman is not a woman but they are a type of male, man who identifies as trans.

Am I the only one who noticed that Anderson avoided the word queer when recounting his memories of being seen as freak, weird, and strange growing up in the 80's? He also avoided the letter Q when referring to the LGBT community.

Anderson answered very pertinent questions about women’s safe spaces and women’s sports with infantile platitudes about how he wants everyone to live their best life and love who they want to love - Hippy happy speak is not enough - who doesn’t want everyone to be happy, loved and living their best life!! But in the real world there are critical and pressing issues that need appropriate legislation and policies that are fair and practical and safe - There was not one word about how to achieve any of it and that makes him a waste of space in my book
Well done Beth Rigby for trying to hold Iain to account. Stonewall have now (21/7/23) doubled down & committed to destroying women’s & fray people’s rights. But at least more people see what they’re doing.

I very much doubt anyone has an issue with T people with genuine GD as these people are so unique and so, so rare we'd likely never meet a T person and if we did they'd have our sympathy because genuine T people just want to live life and have no need for affirmation or to take others civils rights and legal protections. Sad reality is the T people they and TRA's claim to represent, they don't and in actual fact it will be LGB and genuine T people who will bear the brunt of their ideological nonsense. Think of all the money being wasted that could've been spent elsewhere on things that matter. So sad.

Is Iain Anderson willing to criticize the violence and absurdly hyperbolic rhetoric used by trans activists against those that simply disagree with them on a few paltry topics? Stonewall seems to have an all or nothing attitude.

I would like to have seen him challenged also on the promotion of transgender ideology in schools. There is big money behind all this, not least from the supply of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. What the trans community really needs is for Stonewall to get off their case. Then things would really calm down.

As others have said, I'm not a fan of Beth. But she did do a good job here. Asking perfectly reasonable questions in a reasonable way about standing up for women's rights and how the activism of organisations like Stonewall can be seen as trampling all over them. And every time he turned it into 'trans people have rights'. No one is saying they don't. Just questioning why activists like him think the rights of a small minority should be allowed to trump the rights of 50% of the population.
It makes no sense to call women biological women. All woman and all men are biological. We don;t yet have robots that compare to humans in function and complexity so that we need make do that distinction. When she says tranwomen she means men and when she says biological women she means women. She is forced to play into the gender idoelogy game and use their language and that's why this conversation is so difficult.
