Cool vid. Relaxing and nice to see some snaps. I'm waiting for my X100Vi and excited to join the Fujifilm community. Thanks for sharing your first experience with the new version.
Thanks for watching! Have fun
Nicely done video…and no speaking. You have a real way of creating a soothing and informative video. Love your stuff!
Use to have a x100f. Great camera and sooooo much bang for you buck.
Thanks for sharing your first experience
I pre ordered mine on the 20th and still waiting, great relaxing video again Mike.
I really liked where you showed the out of camera jpeg and then the raw edit. Id love to see more of your methodology and decisions when it comes to editing a photo.
Awesome camera & pics 👌👌👌
Thank you for those first impressions. In fact, I like that it feels like the predecessor and there's no immediate stumbling block to the shooting experience - what once was good, doesn't need to change. The X00VI has some new features under the bonnet, though. Better? Depends on the use case and the implementation. I'm waiting for my camera to arrive.
05:26 your expression is golden haha. Nice video.
Hi Mike, I'm wondering if the film simulations look the same considering the sensor difference? I loved your Portra 400 JPG only video and I'm wondering if they'll actually turn out the same on the new camera?
Thank you for sharing. I won’t be switching from the V to the VI. Yes the extra megapixels and the Ibis are great improvements but to be honest I’m very content with the V. If I had the F I would definitely switch to VI. I will wait what the X100VII will bring us and in the meantime I enjoy shooting with the V.
Very nice video, thanks for posting. I need your advice please. I am considering Fuji XS20 and X100vi and few reviewers are saying new 40mp sensor has more vibrant colors, but you mentioned not seeing any difference in image quality. If that's the case I would prefer XS20.
humble crumble! perfect way to end a photoshoot :-)
Absolutely 😂
I am on the pre-order list for the X100vi. Really interesting to read your comments about not seeing much difference between the vi and the v, especially as the used price of a v is now quite affordable (I've seen good ones going for under £1000). The burning question for me, as I ponder my next purchase, is how would you compare it to the Q2? A used one of these is also on my wish list! Nice video, and some lovely photos 👍
Big size difference between an X100V/VI and a Q2. Plus, 28mm is too wide for many. And also for many street shooters not having a tilt-screen is a deal killer.
Hello, which one is the best for argentique photography type between Leica Q3 and X100VI ? thank you very much
Will you keep this in addition to the M11-P/Summilux setup you already have?
Ask as I’ve the same Leica setup but interested in having this as the camera I really do take everywhere as I’m not going to take the M11-P/Summilux everywhere I go in reality.
I definitely am keeping my X100v - the m11 and the V are great cameras. I don’t need this VI. This was on loan from Fujifilm. :)
Oh another Q! What’s the fabric wrap you use for your M11-P? I use the cloth that came with my old XPro 3 at the moment. Saw you using something in another video and thought it looked a bit larger.
Nice video :) was any of the B roll shot on x100vi?
Hey! I’m about to spend the next weeks in Thailand and Malaysia.. so you have any idea where to get a x100vi without pre ordering ?
Cheers.
In Malaysia, or Kuala Lumpur rather you might want to visit the Berjaya Times Square and Low Yat Plaza. Quite a few good photography shops there. Both malls are situated in the Bukit Bintang area and pretty close to one another. No promises that you can get the x100vi without pre-ordering though, but who knows?
The launch has been a shambles so I pulled my preorder and will stick with my Q2.
I just found the invoice for my X100T - £795!
Mike what is your camera hand strap?
Super nice but did you use any video on it? Pretty much its sole benefit is ibis and video features which is all that was lacking on the last one. So if you didnt test the video, you probably wouldnt see much of a difference anyway.
I did get 2 or 3 broll shots in 6k, felt pointless as I had my r6 recording. I wouldn’t ever use a camera like this for video personally.
@@MikeChudley as a dp and hybrid shooter, the reason why Fuji also leaned heavily on the video was because so many people wanted more than 8 bit, myself included. Having pocketable 10 bit was what they wanted so they put usable video centric features into it imo. Now it’s the best of both worlds. 🙏🏼
Most pics looked better before the presets lol
I’m afraid I share your taste. More pleasing/natural.
Raw edits looked blown out.
can u share all ur camera settings? im new to this camera need a solid setup :D
Future video :)
i feel like my auto focus is not quiet there as urs
In my opinion the x100vi is just a x100v mark II. Better availablity and some minor upgrades. I will keep my x100v.
agreed.
Wouldn't call IBIS and an increase in Megapixels minor
I mean it literally is, just like the V was an upgrade on the F and the F was an upgrade on the T. It’s the 6th entry in a long running series of X100 cameras so you should know what you are getting going in.
Considerably improved autofocus, IBIS and 40 megapixel aren’t minor upgrades. What would be considerable upgrades in your book? I love the X100VI bashing. 🙄
People will laugh if they catch you out there with the x100v.
Did you record this on the R6?
yep :)
What Leica do you have, looks amazing?
M11-P :)
Choose one leica q3 or 100vi
Usually the videos presenting this camera are better than what the camera actually does
Probably scratches the itch of those wanting Leica Q3 or M11 experience, but unable to bankroll such a large purchase. Not that $1,600 is cheap for most people.
How's the build quality on it? I've already heard feedback about mushy buttons and wobbly lens barrels. Not really surprising since no doubt tolerances were negotiated with the China factory so was hoping you could comment?
Care to share the recipe you used?
upcoming video :)
Ok but where is the custom recipe? 😂
Good video but you’re kind of contradicting yourself when saying you are not certain you would have got a shot without the ibis then mentioning at the end of the video that you’ll struggle to describe it any better then the v surely the ibis already makes it better.
Do I need the ibis for photography? Nah.
I’ll happily go without the ability to take the ‘frozen’ shot If it cost me an extra £200 or whatever the price difference is.
The V is amazing, so therefore the VI is also amazing. But it’s not indefinitely better.
It’s actually heavier and costs more money. To some people, that’s not better. That’s inconvenient.
Depends how you look at it :)
RUclipsrs making great money buying cameras like it’s a price of bubble gum.
Fujifilm sent me this. I didn’t buy it. I’m sending it back in a few days.
@@MikeChudley maybe they can sell that one when they get it back since they have a backload of back orders.
I was gonna say who needs a Fuji when you have a Leica
x100v was made in japan x100vin made in china 🤮
Should be at least one third cheaper for what it is..
Are you a photography manufacturer insider or what is your “analysis” based on. Have you tried the X100VI? Or the X100V? Long live the internet, so we can just have any sort of opinion without anything to back it up with.
😂
I’m sure Fuji employ a cost plus pricing model and if it were one third cheaper they would barely be making a profit per camera sold. The optical viewfinder is probably what causes a lot of the cost.
Pre-ordered mine. Can't wait for this sexy thing! 🙏😍 Btw...even your Nike jacket looks cool. Don't make me buy it too. 😂
Um, the many many months waiting lists for both the X100V and X100VI prove that it is priced _exactly_ right. By definition. Duh
