Herdsman Lake Bird Video - Part 6 - Osprey, Hawks and Eagles, Owls, Kingfishers

Herdsman Lake is one of the top birding spots in Western Australia. Located a few kilometres from the Perth CBD, Herdsman Lake has had 174 species of birds recorded.
This video is one of a series that feature the birds most likely to be seen by visitors to the area. I have produced this video primarily to help visitors to the Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre identify the birds they see, although it might help others too. The Discovery Centre is operated by the Western Australian Gould League, an organisation dedicated to environmental education.
I am most grateful for the support of birders who have provided photographs, call recordings and video clips for this project. They are acknowledged in this video.

I’m happy to let you know - I’ll email you a map. There are several nests around the Peel-Harvey Estuary, but they aren’t occupied at present. Please let me know your email.

That nest no longer exists - there aren’t any Osprey nests at Herdsman Lake.
