Honda and Toyota are well known for innovation, as are Tesla and Ford. The most important thing is that the batteries are turned solid state instead of Lithium Ion.

Electrically controlled magnetic power is nothing new and has been in use in the salvage industry and in recycling plants. But the finer control of driving an electric motor requires a lot more precision and therefore more precise control over the copper windings in the stator. They have also just found new magnetic materials that are newly recognized and as yet haven't been researched as for their potential to take the place of currently recognized heavy metals and the potential for new motor designs. There are many new potential opportunities to increase the efficiency of electric drive trains that are just an idea or research development away from revolutionizing what we can expect from this technology in the future. This is exciting and I hope that I live long enough to experience the results of the constantly improving electric vehicle propulsion field. This sounds like a much better system than that in my Renault Zoe, but that’s getting the sack in July when the lease expires!!
